Two problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Pulled into a parking space very low speed, it was raining. Pressed on brake pedal to stop and the abs started pumping the pedal remained hard but the abs kept pumping as the vehicle rolled up over the sidewalk and into the side of a business. G. M. States the vehicle is part of a recall but is currently waiting on parts.
While depressing brakes noticed pedal traveling to floorboard. Vehicle was serviced and technician could not find problem. When trying to stop at a stop sign vehice lost braking power, vehicle went into extended stopping distance, causing an accident. 2 people were injured in accident.
