One problem related to brake disc caliper has been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet C2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving the braking system malfunctioned, causing extended stopping distance which almost resulted in an accident, vehicle has been to dealer 3 times, replaced brakes, calipers, etc. Dealer cannot determine problem. Cause unknown. Consumer stated when coming to a stop at a stop sign, signal light or just braking to slow down, the brakes will engage like they should, the vehicle will start to slow thats when there is a pop and at the same time that back end of the vehicle jumps up as if a large bump was hit, but there is no bump in there, alos the brake pedal drops about half of an inch, consumer states he belives that the rear brakes disengage.
