Two problems related to axle assembly have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet C3500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rear axle cracked at 40000 miles, causing wheels to come off the truck. This could cause a fatality.
While driving at 35mph rear axle and wheel came off. Dealer has since repaired vehicle.
