One problem related to hydraulic power assist steering system has been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Camaro. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving, the power steering broke which caused fluid to spill out and total failure of the steering. The consumer lost control of the vehicle. The power steering pump and the serpentine belt were replaced.
