1 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 06/30/2010

Car is 2010 Chevrolet Camaro ss with a manual transmission (ls3). Problem: cruise control can be activated when the car is in neutral. Steps to replicate: drive normally and go above 40mph, after which shift down to neutral and activate cruise control. Result: the car will activate cruise control and will start to redline the engine. As a result if you shift in to a lower gear, the vehicle will jump to a very high speed since the tachometer is redlining, potentially damaging the engine and making it hard to control the car. Problem has been replicated on two different models of the same vehicle. Have not reported to gm because their customer service loves to argue and do nothing about it.
