The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact was driving approximately 5 mph in a residential driveway when the vehicle suddenly increased acceleration to the speed of 15 mph. The vehicle failed to slow down after the contact depressed the brakes numerous times and crashed into the garage door. There was minor damage to the front end of the vehicle but no severe body damage. The contact was uninjured. One month prior to the failure, the contact stated that the led warning indicator displayed a reading of a reduction in the engine power and the engine power became extremely low causing the vehicle not to accelerate over 35 mph. The throttle body was replaced by the dealer to correct the problem. The vehicle was not further diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 1,200.
