Consumer was traveling 35 mph and both frontal air bags went off inadvertently. No injuries reported. Consumer was able to drive it home, and will contact the dealer.
When trying to avoid a crash at 15 mph vehicle went into a ditch. The frontal air bags deployed after the vehicle came to a complete stop. Consumer suffered injuries. Had the vehicle towed to dealership, who could not resolve the problem.

As consumer began to break and slow down, due to congestion that she noticed that was in front of her, a vehicle pulled in front of her, so to avoid a collision consumer slammed on the brakes, and all of a sudden the airbags deployed violently and subsequently consumer rear-ended the vehicle, consumer and the passenger suffered severe injuries, however the very next day after the accident, the consumer received recall notification(98026) the manufacturer is not willing to take any responsibility for the accident, consumer was informed by a represenative from general motors that the recall was old and that the airbags should already have been replaced, consumer then informed the represeantive that the vehicle was not purchased new.
Was traveling 70mph when suddenl/for no reason, both air bags deployed. Did not hit or run over anything. Drove vehicle to dealership. Was informed by service manager, a recall was on vehicle. An inspector checked vehicle & to decipher code on vehicle. Finally no recall.
Involved in an automobile accident, and neither airbags deployed. Vehicle was totalled. Hasn't contacted dealer nor manufacturer.
Ms. Welch's was driving on an interstate when she lost the ability to control the steering, causing the car to veer back and forth and causing her to lose control. Received recall notice #98v146000 and contacted dealer. Took vehicle on date given. Repairs for airbag was done. Was driving 45mph & keeping time to music by hitting steering wheel, when air bags deployed. Vehicle went right & then left & hit another vehicle. Had arm & knee injuries. Emergency room treatment. Vehicle in storage for 3 months.
Had received recall notice in canada, on 23 Nov 98, recall 98v146000. A week after air bags deployed. Brakes were applied to avoid hitting another vehicle. Air bag deployed, obscuring vision. Did not hit vehicle. Took to dealer. Was refused repairs due to minor damage to vehicle. Contacted manufacturer. Dealer sending computer part to canada to be analyzed since vehicle was registered in the beginning in canada & then in USA.
Had received recall notice (#98v146000) in the mail. Called dealer. Took vehicle to dealer for repairs. Picked up vehicle 10/5/98. Was driving away from stop light and rearended vehicle in front, air bags deployed. Recall remedy failed.
While sitting at a red light a police cruiser hit the vehicle head-on, causing the air bags to deploy, hitting the consumer on her chest. Consumer's son was in the booster seat with his safelty belt on, booster seat ejected the consumer's son and made him fly toward the front seat and the passager's seat, causing the passager's air bag to strike both consumer and son on their faces and injuring them. Both of them had to be taken to the hospital.

Driving in outside lane a transfer truck crossed into Cavalier's lane. Went off road & rolled 3 times side to side & then front to back 2 times. Driver thrown about 30 ft from rear window. Shoulder/lap belt did not restrain driver. Passenger belts held. Both injured. No air bags deployed.
While driving vehicle about 10 mph consumer was getting ready to make a turn when she heard a noise like a fire cracker according to consumer, at time she saw both air bags had deployed without a reason, driver's air bag cracked the windshield, dealer was contacted.
Driving down a paved dirt road (leveled no pot holes) at 10-15 mph the air bags deployed unexpectedly. Consumer lost control of vehicle. The passenger occupant a six year old, sustained a broken right risk and scratches on his face. The driver jumped out of the vehicle after the air bag deployed. She has broken tooth and facial lacerations. The vehicle is now in seatle for repairs, and an agent from the manufacturer is going to go to washington state to investigate the vehicle as soon as it arives in washington state.
While the car was being driven the passenger's airbag deployed without incident. It caused the driver major injuries.
