: the contact stated that the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier has been having a continuous problem with the cruise control. When the vehicle stops on dry roads, it will stall and shut off completely. The auto air control system sensor and the entire cruise control system have both been replaced twice. The parts were replaced at a service dealer. Car refused to move while entering traffic, all reg maint. Performed, no warning, barely avoided being rear ended. Company not interested in danger or in responsibility for defective parts. Engine works, car will not go into gear.
After being involved in an automobile accident, brakes stuck and the accelerator stuck to the floor- driver was unable to stop the automobile. He finally was able to stop automobile by shuting the ignition off. He also states at that time he could not shift gears so he could not disengage the automobile.
Automatic transmission malfunction, when engaging transmission into drive it takes several seconds to engage. Tt when outside air temperature is cold, and consumer backs car out of driveway and put into neutral then drive vehicle does not go into gear for 3-10 seconds, it just sits there or coasts, the engine revs up as yoy step on the gas, then the vehicle jumps into gear, when stopped at a stop sign and then step on the gas vehicle was in drive but it did not go anywhere, the engine reved up and then jumped into gear consumer has been told by dealer that all these vehicle types are like that and it can not be crrected.
