Vehicle is a 2005 Chevrolet Classic in extremely good condition with low mileage for the year. I was teaching my 15yr old daughter how to drive and as we were turning through an intersection the car lost power and died. I had her try to start the car and after the third try it started. The car died again as we were driving home but started on the fourth try. I parked the car and tried to guess what may be wrong. I replaced the fuel filter and had the fuel pump replaced (twice) finally had to take it to a mechanic and paid $766. 98 and several hours to diagnose a faulty ignition switch. I would like to be notified if this ignition switch is ever on a recall as this is a very dangerous thing to go out while driving.

Theft system activated and the vehicle cut off while driving causing a serious safety concern, this has happened numerous times, gm recalled this vehicle under recall number 14350, all the dealership did was apply small two small key rings, this did nothing to alleviate the problem, when I called gm to complain that the ignition switch is the problem and they should be replaced at no cost to the owner, they said that there is no recall for this problem even though this appears to be the exact fix for this problem, I paid my mechanic to replace the ignition switch, I would like to be reimbursed by gm. Thank you.
