My car has grooves because of sub par brake pads in rear and my rotors will have to be replaced due to cheap pads chewing deep grooves on a 09 Cobalt ss with 20k. Fronts have ceramic pads so no wear at all. Mechanic said they used expensive ceramic up front and cheap semi metallic in back and now the only fix is new ceramic pads but the rotors are to far gone to be resurfaced. Cheap gm factory flaw which should require a recall to replace.
Why isn't there a recall for the 2005 Cobalt? this happened shortly after I purchased the vehicle! why do you have the recall only for 2009, it should be for 2005 and all models affected, regardless of the year! just picking one year is not accurate for this type of issue. On some of these vehicles, the transmission shift cable adjustment clip may not be fully engaged. If the clip is not fully engaged, the shift lever and the actual position of the transmission gear may not match. With this condition, the drive could move the shifter to "park" and remove the ignition key, but the transmission gear may not be in "park".
