One incident when the contact was coming out of a parking lot they were making a turn to get on to the street. They noticed that the steering wheel was getting very tight. As the contact was geting on to the street the steering wheel locked and would not turn. The steering wheel got stuck and they almost hit a car infront of them. They had to apply pressure to the steering wheeel to quickly get on to the shoulder before crashing into another vehicle. No warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was driven back to the contacts home. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not informed of the issue. The failure mileage was 103,000. Jw.
