That was the first time and the second time my power steering went out on me after the dealership put a new power steering column on it. The second time my two year old son was with me and it was dark on our way home for the day. Luckily I got to the side of the road without incident. This time I had my power steering motor replaced. Very irritated with this car. My trust is gone.

6 Steering Noise problem

Failure Date: 09/22/2009

We purchased the car new on 12/1/08. Mileage 75 miles. We've taken the car to three dealerships with a complaint of noise in the steering column. It was determined a lower bearing in the steering column was faulty and the steering column was replaced. To date the steering column has been replaced 7 times because of the faulty lower bearing and g. M. Says there isn't a fix for it. I'm concerned this could be a safety issue as it's a faulty steering column bearing and if it seizes I would assume it could cause a crash/wreck since steering would apparently no longer be an option.
