Tl the contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. While driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle lost power and shut off without warning. The contact called for assistance and had the vehicle towed to her residence. The vehicle restarted the next day. The failure recurred and the vehicle restarted after a couple of minutes. The failure recurred several more times and the vehicle restarted each time. The contact called tom gibbs Chevrolet at 386-206-8097 (located at 5850 e, FL-100, palm coast, FL 32164) and scheduled a diagnostic appointment. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.

2 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 09/16/2014

We have experienced a front universal premature failure. We have aprox. 51000 miles on this truck, from experienced mechanics, they say this should not happen to this particular joint. I take good care of my cars/trucks. No hot rodding or abuse. Purpose for this contact was to fined out if this is a problem and has been reported before. I think this item was defective when built. 3 Power Train problem

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. While driving various speeds, the four wheel drive engaged independently without warning and the front wheels seized. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 60,000.

4 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2011

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that the engine was a 4 cylinder 2. 8 engine and would cause the vehicle to drive abnormally. The contact stated that the number 4 valve was sticking. The dealer diagnosed that the engine would need replacing. The engine was replaced by the dealer numerous times, but the failure continuosuly recurred. The dealer also rebuilt the transmission, but the contact was uncertain if the failure was directly related to the engine failure. The manufacturer was contacted, but denied any assistance with repairs to the vehicle. The failure mileage was 160,000 and the current mileage was 200,000. The VIN was unavailable.

Description: abs failure, transmission, leaks (select above won't work) abs warning lights goes on intermittently and brakes fail to function. Trany sticks in 4 wd & won't go into 2wd, driver floorgets about 1/2 inch water on floor from rain.

Engine had a misfire and would stall sometimes when you made a tight turn at low speeds. Found out it had a bad value seat causing it to have the misfire. Gm messed around and wouldn't fix it. Red other people had bad value seats too. Spent my own money to get it fixed.

7 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 11/09/2008

P0017 code , mechanical engineering design malfunction. Electrical engineering curcuit (12v) steady design malfunction, actuater part design malfunction. High rate of speed engine rev/or power lose. Low rate of speed rpm not consistent, un controlled rev/power lose. The electronically components powering and monitoring the specific curcuit are faulty.
