1 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2019

The vehicle will go from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive without any warning. This has happened 4 different times. I stop and push the button to return to 2 wheel drive and it goes back to 2 wheel. I did not do any input when it changes to 4 wheel spontaneously while moving at 20 to 30 mph and then turning a corner, the wheel stutters, I look at the dash and it's in 4 wheel drive.

2 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 05/21/2011

The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that the vehicle unexpectedly shifted from two wheel drive into four wheel drive, disrupting manner in which the vehicle would steer. The windshield wipers would also engage and disengage unexpectedly. The dealer was notified and stated that there were no recalls or warranties addressing the failure. The contact was informed that the bcm needed to be reprogrammed and the two wheel drive switch needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they would contact the dealer for more information. The contact also filed a complaint with the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 77,000.
