The wiring harness that passes through the rear drivers side door of my extended cab has failed twice now. The first time occurred at 45k and most recently at 54k miles. Both instances cause the airbag light to come on as a result of a broken wire in the harness (gm part # 20806141).
Airbag light came on, I have not schedule service with the dealer but I am going to do it this week, are there any recalls on it?.
Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact started that the air bag warning indicator illuminated continuously. The contact mentioned that the air bags wire harness traveled through the rear passenger¿s door hinge and with excessive usage of the door the wires fractured which caused the air bag indicator to illuminate. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. Djr.
