I bought this chevy Colorado a few months ago, vehicle with 65k, and unfortunately, for safety reasons, I could not drive it for more than 10” miles so far, because every time I drove it, I ran serious risks of causing an accident , which could even be fatal, as the vehicle simply turns off (turns off) when being driven, no matter where it is, and it takes a few minutes for it to restart, and this has happened to me several times in high traffic places. I've taken it to a few repair shops and electrics, but the problem hasn't been resolved. The chevy is a vehicle in excellent condition and has low mileage, and unfortunately due to some quality problem, which did not come from the factory, I am unable to enjoy it and drive it with pleasure. I count on the help of this great company that is NHTSA to solve this problem, and give me the joy of being able to drive my 2010 chevy Colorado.
The passlock feature on the truck engages frequently without cause making me sit and wait out the 10-minute delay. This is always inconvenient, especially at the gas station with long lines behind me. This problem has the potential for being a safety hazard. The internet has a passlock by-pass procedures but I'm reluctant to modify the vehicle without gm's authorization. The local dealer had the truck for some time and came back with unable to find fault. The issue is so random that unless the truck is in their possession for a week it will not do it. This problem has me very much frustrated.
I am not able to start the truck most of the time. It goes into a safety mode and I have to wait 10 minutes. Thankfully my family has not been injured yet due to this but I don't think it should come down to injury. Their is lots of complaints about gm's passlock system and it is very dangerous.
Brake lights and cruise control do not work. Checked fuses and they were good. Likely due to faulty brake switch. There is a recall out for this issue but it does not cover the 2010 model.

Brake lights and cruise control do not work. Checked fuses and they were good. Brake switch and electrical controller faulted required replacement.
The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado . The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the low air pressure warning light continuously illuminated. The tire pressure was checked and was accurate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnostic testing, they replaced one wheel sensor and re-programmed the computer. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 79,000.
