Air Bag Light On problems of the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado. While driving 35 mph with a front seat passenger, the air bag and seat belt warning indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the front seat passenger's seat belt was latched. While driving home from the dealer without a front seat passenger, the air bag and seat belt warning indicators failed to illuminate. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken back to the dealer 20 days later when the parts became available. The vehicle was repaired. After the vehicle was repaired, the contact inquired if the dealer disconnected the front passenger air bag and seat belt warning system. The owner of the dealer confirmed that the system was disconnected. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and of the disconnection of the warning system by the technician.
