Unknown Or Other problem #1

There is an issue with the driver side headlamp, where it will not work under normal driving conditions. I replaced the headlamps to have the same result. Also replaced the fuse for the lt headlamp with same result. The left headlamp will work in high beam mode but not in normal driving conditions. I tried manually switching on, same result.

Unknown Or Other problem #2

Abs light comes on and doesnt shut off. There is a "rubbing/pulsating" noise when I push the brakes and I can hear something activating in the engine compartment (maybe the abs computer?). I checked the brake fluid and its good. Nothing was damaged when the brakes were changed earlier. When I turn it on after having it off for a little while, there are no fault indications. When I start moving forward I can here some sort of motor or pump or something initiating. After a little bit I start pushing the brakes at the stop sign then all of a sudden the abs fault light, emergency brake light comes on as well as the abs fault and brakes message flashing across the display. I am not taking it to the dealership as they are worthless.

Unknown Or Other problem #3

Blower motor on a/c quit working on truck on speeds 1,2,3 still works on 4, checked on the internet and the problem is with the resistor module that controls the speed of the blower. Spoke to gm dealer, and he advised that the problem was with the module overheating and causing the plug to melt and cause the resistor pack to become inoperable. No warranty on part according to gm dealer, wants $76 to fix problem, I am not paying for part due to obvious manufacturer defect that is a possible safety hazard that can and will cause risk of fire, injury or death.

Unknown Or Other problem #9

I have a 2006 chevy Colorado with about 61,000 miles. I have reccently had it to fail n. C. Inspection due to dtc p0017. I have spent roughly $400 between sensors/valves and diagnoses for this truck. I see there are numerous TSB's for this model and dtc p0017 being a couple of them. We are struggling trying to get this taken care of and would like to file a complaint because we believe this is a defect due to the recurring problem people are having with this dtc code. There should be a recall. Please do something about this, so other people won't have to drain their bank accounts for a defective vehicle.

Unknown Or Other problem #10

Potential problem: when clutching my heel occasionally catches on the floor mat, so I can't quickly react.

Unknown Or Other problem #11

Some mornings my 04 Colorado stalls out and bogs down. Push the gas bogs down and goes nowhere. It doesn't matter the temp outside. It does it. Its not an everyday event. Just some mornings, and when the truck has been sitting more than 8 hours. I've changed the fuel filter, put lucas fuel treatment. Every small repair I've done. Dealer said when it acts up they will try and fix it. But of course you cant replicate the problem for them to see. Want to know what can be causing this. I've seen there has been alot of incidents of engine problems. From what I've read. Some of these problems with other peoples Colorado's, are happening too. Is there anything that can be done about this threw y'all? I have 60,000 miles on my truck I shouldn't be having problems. Any cost free maintenance from gm?.

Unknown Or Other problem #12

For the second time since I bought my 2009 Colorado in December of 2010, I have had issues with the ignition switch. The engine doesn't even try to turn over. The dash tells me that the ignition is in the lock position when it clearly isn't. I even tried using the spare key in case the key itself was the issue. It hasn't been fixed yet, and the only thing I can do is keep trying until it decides to send the message to start the truck. This takes about 10 minutes or so of constantly trying to start the truck.

Unknown Or Other problem #13

Owned this 2004 Colorado ext. Cab 4x4 since new. * again * blower motor controller on a/c quit working on speeds 1,2,3 still works on "high" 4. This is the 3rd failure since new, and I've had to pay for repairs twice already. According to reports on internet problem is with resistor module that controls the speed of the blower. Spoke to two difference gm dealers, and he advised that the problem was with the module overheating and causing the plug to melt and cause the resistor pack to become inoperable. No warranty on part according to gm dealer. This is a manufacturer defect and safety hazard that could cause risk of fire, injury or death. This issue needs to be covered under a recall or some program to protect consumers from paying to repair the same defective part or system over and over again !.

Unknown Or Other problem #14

Htr/ac blower motor won't work at 3 lowest speeds, only works at #4 highest speed. Temporary fix at wire connector by cleaning a burnt connector. Finally failed again in less than a year. Truck is out of warranty, dealership claims they never heard of such a problem, but think that a new blower motor would solve problem. I disagree. It is a fairly cheap fix involving new connector, proper grounding, etc, and should be covered in or out warranty since it is a design problem. I've been a longtime gm buyer since 1964, but am nearing the end of my patience with them. Too many problems that they never recognize as widespread.

Unknown Or Other problem #15

Driving a leased 2008 chevy Colorado with 15,000 miles, always travel a very safe distance from the vehicle n front, cars ahead were stopping at a traffic light, so eased up behind the vehicle in front at a slow rate. When my vehicle had come to a complete stopped I felt my engine racing a bit, so I pushed down on the brake harder, and as I applied more and more force to the brake this continued on and on. After about 5 seconds of the contest, I put the automatic transmission into neutral which stopped the episode. This was the first occurrence of this type of thing, although both my wife and I had both experienced a handful of isolated incidents where the engine raced a bit while slowing down without applying the brake. My wife takes the vehicle to the dealer on a regular basis and has filed at least 3 complaints. Because the vehicle never behaves this way when the dealer checks it, they can never find anything wrong and sends her on her way. No wonder, the odds of it behaving this way during the time they happen to be checking it are less than one being struck by lightening. So we must go on trapped in a lease hoping that one day it does not act up in a way that causes an accident or even kills somebody. And its not that we want to get out of the lease, because other than this we love the vehicle. We just want it fixed, but it has become so overtly obvious that they can't fix it. Wonderful system here in America. Everyone is forced to trust America's true god, money.

Unknown Or Other problem #16

While driving our 2006 Colorado truck, the engine stops. This has happened three times. We were able to coast to a safe area and park. These incidents put one in dangerous situations.

Unknown Or Other problem #17

The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact cannot place a rear facing child safety seat in the vehicle and cannot turn off the front passenger side air bag. The owner's manual states that there is a key to turn off the air bag, which does not exist in his vehicle. He was informed off the record that he should either cut the wire or disable the fuse. He believes the vehicle should be recalled and repaired. The current mileage was 98,863 and the failure mileage was 98,833. Updated 03-11-08.

Unknown Or Other problem #18

The wiring harness and the resistor pack for the hvac burns and is melted and could possibly cause a fire. This is not just an electrical hvac problem. It is a grounding problem, and causes all kinds of problems. The hazard lights, blinkers, and stop lights all stopped working on my truck. Most of the dash would go out intermitly. The aux plugs stopped working. I had replaced the battery, wiring harness and resistor pack twice. General motors knows about this problem. It also affects the GMC canyon, and the isuzu I-280 pick-up trucks. There should be a recall to correct this problem before someone is killed. No brake lights, no turn signals, fire/smoke in the cab, etc.

Unknown Or Other problem #19

I bought a 2004 chevy Colorado Feb. 11, 2006 with 47,262 miles on it from the local chevy dealer. It is now July 21, 2006 and I will be taking it in to the shop for the 10th time. So far this is what has gone wrong: head light seal leaking, front grill missing factory clips, ac fan housing has bad factory mold so there is a "ticking" when running the ac, ac switch resister went out and replaced three weeks ago has now gone bad again, roof bows were bent enough that caused the roof sheet metal to pop up and down when windows were down at highway speed, rear fold down seats have jammed and will not release from rear cab wall, b-pilar trim will not stay on, I had to replace the fuel filter and O2 (oxygen) sensor two months ago, and now as of this date, July 21, 2006, the rear right passenger window will not go down.
