4 Wheel problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado

5 Wheel problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 12/15/2018

Tire pressure monitor failed in less then 3 years of owning the vehicle. The truck was purchased brand new in 2016 and now I'm being told that I have to pay for the tmps replacement cause I'm past the bumper to bumper warranty. This is clearly a defect in the tpms as the batteries should last at least 10 years. I have a 2008 vehicle that has the original sensors in the tires with no issues. Is there anyone that can get the taken care of as this is a defect and not a normal wear and tear situation.

8 Wheel problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 07/01/2018

On July 1, 2018, my son was driving his 2006 chevy Colorado on the freeway when it combusted in the front driver's side engine area. Thankfully, he was able to exit the vehicle before it became fully engulfed! the pickup burned entirely, very hot and very quick. See attached photos. I did contact gm, as I see there have been many claims of fire in these vehicles. However, gm was unwilling to put effort into trying to determine the cause of this fire that endangered my sons life!! I have received no answers, no compassion, no follow through. It is beyond disappointing for a company such as general motors to not be doing a better job for their consumers.

10 Wheel problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 03/13/2018

Was at shop returning truck to install ordered electrical parts on 3/13/18, when the installer called me over to show me an extremely large gash in tire tread, complete width of middle tread and about 7 inches in length. (have photo)leaving the membrane exposed. I was there on Friday 3/9/18 with initial repairs & this was not noted! ( tires were balance due to outage of wire for abs) I drove back home 50 miles on Friday, did not move the truck all weekend, till my return on Tuesday (13th). When discovered . He advised me to get this repaired immediately! I drove cautiously approx. 4 miles to local chevorlet dealership (reliable) it was around 4pm, I explained that I did not have appointment, and needed immediate attention due to damaged tire ready to blow out! I explain this looked like manufacture defect. Needless to say none was covered by insurance, I paid out of pocket $274. 24. I am so thankful I did not have a blow out driving to albuquerque,nm this is highway most of the way, with speed limit 70 mph. And most grateful my 3 grandkids were not with me,, as I frequently pick them up from school. This could of definitely been devastating . The service dept. Assumed I ran over something. This is a newer truck I only have 9688 miles on it, and careful to watch what is on the roads. As this was the driver rear tire involved, the front was not affected at all? is this possible it is a manufactured defect ? I have never had this happen to a tire on my vehicles before, as I am 65 yrs old. Do I have to wait for this to happen to another tire on this vechicle from this company with possible tragic results. I will do my dilligence in inspecting tires before I leave, but this could of happen as I drive traveling once again on highways.

Failure Date: 05/23/2017

My truck has less than 9k miles and a tire (goodyear) disingrated @ 35 mph on the way to a store. Dealer service dept says "can't do anything". Does this mean the other 3 tires are about to fail?.

14 Wheel problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 07/11/2016

My 2016 chevy Colorado crew cab z71 4x4 vibrates at highway speed. The dealership has replaced one tire, balanced x 3 and rotated and road force tested. The problem persists. I was told by the service manager that because I bought an off road truck with all season tires it will vibrate above 70 mph. I feel it in my seat, it appears to be coming from the rear of the truck. The empty passenger seat visually vibrates. It started after the first oil change and tire rotation at 6000 miles.

15 Wheel problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

16 Wheel problem of the 2008 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 04/06/2012

At the time of my third tire rotation, my dealer informed me that my tires were worn down to the wear bars and needed replacement. Mileage at the time was only 19,474. Gm would not take responsibility for replacement or partial re-imbursement of the general p225/75/r15 tires, even though they were factory-installed on the truck as purchased in 2008. The tires either were defective, or gm chose to put very poor tires on their new Colorado trucks as a way of cutting costs.

17 Wheel problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 11/11/2008

Our department has 7 Chevrolet Colorado pickups, and on one of the 2007's the tire valve stems all broke off when our mechanics tried to remove the caps. The stems are remote transmitters for the low tire pressure warning light. The dealer told us this is a common problem, and the parts cost us $220.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that the chrome on the wheels began to discolor and peel. A few months later when washing the wheels with a pressure washer, the chrome completely peeled away and the wheels looked as if they were corroding. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where he was informed that the wheels were junk. The dealer also stated that they could replace the wheels. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer six times but the wheels were not replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000. The current mileage was approximately 18,000.

19 Wheel problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 08/03/2004

Todays date is 04/20/2013 #1- wheel aligement front to back, where rear passenger side tire sticks out from body. #2- this is my forth set of tires because of aligement problems. #3- rear tail lights seem to be burned out, they are not it a poor socket problem, I lube with electrical grease. I can't believe that they are introducing the market with making more of the problems for the new line 2014 and beyond. This is the worst Chevrolet I ever owned the 2004 Colorado. I have owned 14 chevys, will chevys be in my future?.
