Wheel problem #1

Vehicle has had a noise when backing up coming from the rear since I bought it in 2007, complained to eagle Chevrolet-say its normal and they did nothing. Now had rear differential problems and had to pay to have it drained and refilled. Gm fluid-gm refuses to re-imburse. Car no longer has that noise. Could have caused major issues and an accident if it was not repaired. Complaint about lack of warranty service when new.

Wheel problem #2

There is a serious an deadly problem with the design of the mitchelin tires specified for the 2007 (an other) Corvette z06. The side wall of the tire completely collapses while executing a sharp turn either going forward or backing up. Detailed discussion with supplier discount tire and second hand communication with the mitchelin leads me to believe that mitchelin and discount tire are both aware of the problem. The absolute fact is the tires do collapse when making a sharp turn. If one makes a sharp turn with any speed or acceleration will cause the tire's sidewall to collapse. Danger danger danger!!! the home link system also does not work and I got the run around for years with no action taken.

Wheel problem #3

The right front oem wheel on the vehicle had several spokes that were busted completely in half. There was no abuse to the wheel, no impact or curb rash of any kind. The vehicle has never been raced or operated on any kind of track environment. . Read more...

Wheel problem #4

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette with oe concept aluminum wheels. The contact stated that the manufacturer put steel in the wheels, which caused the tires to become out of balance. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised that because two unlike metals were placed together, the tires would certainly disintegrate. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The equipment was returned. The failure and the current mileage was 32,000. The VIN was not available.
