While driving the driver side rear suspension collapsed to the street. This happened in traffic at about 40mph. We were traveling on hwy 24 ne in colorado springs heading to home near kansas city. As described in a re call with 43 other Corvettes the recall notice NHTSA campaign number: 15v031000. But our 2015 was built on Aug 12 2014 and is not included. We had just completed an 8 day drive through many colorado mountain roads which with this kind of failure would certainly had the potential of killing my wife and me. We are extremely lucky that this happened at a low speed in a straight line. Several days before this happened we had a suspension upgrade software only on our Corvette. We did have some symptoms of extra sway when rounding corners, but when we put the drive mode to track this went away. Had we known that the symptoms were not related to the software upgrade we would have taken the Corvette to a dealer while we were on vacation.

Rear spring broke while driving, this caused the vehicle to slump on top of rear tires. Owner had talked to both manufacturer and dealership ,and neither have made any attempts to assist consumer due to the mileage on vehicle. Ts.
