When taking off from stopped position the car jerked and would not shift to second, without tapping the gas peddle. After pulling into where I live, I stopped and tried to drive forward but it would not move only in reverse would the car move. The car is in the shop now. Still don't know what is wrong. I will never buy another chevy Cruze.
You drive for 15 miles goes into limp mode have put 3 tecoms in the car and still does the same thing.
Will driving with automatic transmission does not shift from 1 to any other shift and it just accelerates with any shifts and losing speed in the highway very fast which could cause an accident due to not been able to gain any speed. The engine light is on and according to an inspection showing transmission control system failure.
This is the second time in two years that the transmission stopped working causing an inconvenience of losing my transportation and this is getting expensive to keep fixing.
My car just went out. No warning no nothing. The dashboard wend haywire and was unable to read anything at all (speed, rpm, fuel or temp). The ignition downshifted on its own almost causing an accident while I was on the highway. Once safely off of the highway I tried to park the car in a proper parking space so that I could inspect the issue and it wouldn't reverse and shortly after would no longer go forward.
The car jerks when brakes are applied at a red light, sometimes it jerks very hard. It lags when trying to accelerate after a stop,dip, or speed bump. Delearship claims it's a break pedal position sensor. Yet when I took it in my check engine light was not on, but they said it's a solid code. (p057c) and I've taken it many times to the dealership and they never told me it had a code and I've had this jerking problem for 2 years now.
Car does not accelerate right away, hesitating while trying to accelerate. Problem has progressively gotten worse, now car jerks when trying to accelerate.
Powering down also ac. Some times stop runing. The pvc was not made right had to replace it was cauesing a vac. Leak with no recall. Now there is a posting about the intake exioes manfold broken down may have to replace mother and canylt ventor. A again no recall.
The transmission is shifting harshly and in regular sometimes it will increase the rpms to five or six thousand rpms before it will decide to shift off to the next year this usually occurs within the first and second gear in stop-and-go traffic.
Every time I stop or going my car acts like it don't want to go.

Transmission coolant line seems to be seeping or leaking and is close to the turbo and could cause a fire.
The shifter in the transmission broke. Had a licensed mechanic at christian brothers to run a diagnostic test on it for warranty reasons. He found out that this is a frequent problem with these cars and informed me that there was a manufacture alert on this part. To replace this one part the entire transmission must be replaced. There is less than 100,000 miles on the car. Giving an alert does not rectify the problem nor does it limit the dangers. A person is unable to shift the gears while driving. I feel this to be extremely dangerous. Chevrolet should be responsible for replacing this part.
Traveling home from town traffic to highway driving the car was super jerky and the rpm went way up when we got on the highway and the mph wasn't responding to it. So it was worse when we were trying to accelerate but it was all the time. Even when we were on cruise control and came up on a very small incline in the road it would slow down and made me afraid other cars traveling at high speed would rear-end my car. The changes in speed came with no warning.
Gm has a known manufacturing defect with the 1. 4 liter engine piston rings. Go to www. Cruzetalk. Com and see the number of piston ring failures. Gm refuses to cover failure out of warranty. My has not failed but what happens when they fail in five years and the car is still useful but then isn't because of a known manufacturing defect they refuse to acknowledge out of warranty. I was driving on my way to work in my 2011 chevy Cruze with my precious 1 year old daughter on the highway going the speed limit (60mph) when all of a sudden my transmisson goes out just out of no where luckily im a good driver and know how to drive otherwise me and my daughter would be absolutely dead right now! I contacted chevy and the dealership they didn't care they seem to think it's absolutely normal for 2011 chevy Cruze for this to happen with only 66,107 miles. I bought this car brand new in 2011 and I have taken it to the dealership where I bought the car for oil changes services etc every 3 months their is no neglect on this car it was properly taken care of. They have no sympathy for the situation. Faulty electrical parts were put in my transmisson when it was assembled in their factory but this is somehow my problem now lol what a joke.
We purchased a used car fro our daughter (2011 chevy cruse) in September 2016 from west point Lincoln for around $9000 and we put half down and financed the remaining so my daughter, chelsea could start building her credit. We were told by the dealership that the vehicle went through their 20 point inspection and was a great used car, but now that the transmission is gone - their hands are tied and this so called 20 point inspection is really just a bunch of crap! in December, few days before christmas she was driving on the highway and the car started to jerk as she pushed on the gas and it wouldn't accelerate. She pull over and parked the car to see what was wrong. She restarted the car and put it in drive, but it wouldn't go forward; however, when she put the car in reverse, it moved.

The car had been jerking when I put in reverse, and taking a dew seconds to go when I accelarated. The reverse went out and I had to take it to a mechanic who tols me I wouls need a new transmission which will cost 3. 7k the car has only 69k miles had regular oil changes.

I was driving my niece home. Got off the highway and felt a sudden jerk. Went to push on the gas and the car was not moving well. Pulled over to the nearest place. Turned off the car and turned it back on. Tried to back up, reverse would not work. Pushed it out of the parking spot car wouldnt move. Manual aspect of car was saying could not shift. Service engine lights came on. Code read tranmission module.

I was exiting interstate 80 on my way to work when the car shifted from 4th gear to 5th gear the motor started free revving. I took the car to my other job where I changed the transmission fluid with dextron vi. The transmission just kept getting worse and started slipping in other gears. Amechanic told me he thought the transmission was going bad and I needed to rebuild it or get a different transmission. . I took out a loan to buy a used transmission and to n because I work 2 jobs and didn't have time or tools to do myself when the mechanic put the used transmission in the car he said it is slipping also. I'm out $1200. 00 transmission has a warranty but labor money is gone plus I'm paying interest on that money now. I always changed my oil put brakes on tires whatever the car needed I did. I bought the car new and hit had a 3/36000 bumper to bumper warranty. The wheel bearing went out at 38 or 39000 miles they said I was out of warranty. I have a 5/100000 mile warranty on the transmission and I'm 3 months and 9000 miles over I cant imagine they would do anything to help with that since they didn't do anything on a $100. 00 part. . Very disgusted with the reliability on these new cars. Is there anything that can be done about this please let me know. . I drive about 22-25000 miles a year to work. . Thank you.
2016 ecm reprogramming recall ever since I brought my car in for the recall in 2016 to have the ecm reprogrammed, I have had severe issues with very rough idling, slow acceleration, and inconsistent fuel usage. Check engine light comes on and lists several sensors that need to be replaced. We replaced all of them and the problem still comes back. Now the codes indicate there is a catastrophic issue with the ecm and chevy will not cover it even though this issue started from their own recall.
I own a 2011 Cruze it has had a slew of problems, trans cell blown, water pumps replaced, trans reprogramed, turbo replaced and much more, now the valve body in the trans is bad car has less than 60k and I have mentioned the trans issue since 20k in which I was told I was crazy by dealership and no recall has been issued for this. I do not think gm should be allowed to sell the Cruze anymore this car is a death trap waiting to happen just like the cobalt. I am fustrated and fed up. Service department is a joke. And the Cruze has over 24,000 complaints regarding all the same issues and nothing is nothing being done about the trans issue. Dealer opened up my trans today and found clogged 1 and 2 cellinoid and clogged screen as well as broken clip causing hesitation, hard shifting and valve body movement. I think this matter should be further investigated.
My car has a check engine light and I took it to dealer they do not know what the code is, its p057c and I was driving on highway going 70 and car all of a sudden loses power went from 70mph to 5mph in a split second almost got rear ended by a semi truck I am afraid to drive my car for my safety. Dealer wants hundreds of dollars just to try and figre out the issue but after diagnostic they still have no clue. So thir plan was to dissect my car like a science project and maybe fix it. They want the car for a week and do not offer any loaner cars. Chevrolet northridge dealership California. Today 03/04/16 driving to work going 40mph and get to a red light, it turned green I hit the gas and the car just revs and wont go more than 5pmh . I had to pull over and turn car on and off 2 times before I could get to work. And got there late because of this. And again almost got rear ended. I press the gas and the car revs as if it is idling. Please make this a recall and help get this fixed. Its going to be a reason why a driver loses their life. This is a true emergency since it just feels like the car has a mind of its own. And dealer does not know what to do. Please please help!.
My 2011 chevy Cruze is not shifting properly while accelerating. It is most noticeable while accelerating rapidly on an entrance ramp, it jerks and does not accelerate properly. It makes you wander if it is going to stop working. I have also had a lag in regular shifting. These problems were addressed by my local chevy three times while under warranty and it resulted in rebuilding my transmission. I am now out of warranty and having the exact same issues that it took them three times to fix. I have had this car at the dealer to often since purchasing it. I have also had the air conditioner compressor and fan replaced and all recalls performed. I will never buy another chevy Cruze. I do have records of my repairs.
While driving power reduction message flashed,service esp flashed. . Power was drastically reduced. . Had to pull off road,shut off vehicle for several minutes and restart. Has happened several times. Highly dangerous problem.
In addition to two complaints filed about this vehicle already. The u. S has no concern for human life in the u. S and is allowing white supremacy to endanger minority drivers and other drivers. The testing of satellite radiological dispersal weapons and remote control systems involving, hacking, backdoor access, remote control, surveillance and vehicle compromise persists. On 12/10/15 and 12/09/15 the vehicle was halted by force from a satellite tracking the vehicle. Ample evidence of electrical problems in the car, cellphone tracking and home tracking is available. A federal lawsuit was filed and dismissed without reason of cause to further the hate crime. On these two days I was driving the vehicle one again, and lost control over the vehicle steering and throttle. The issue occurs at stop signs to cause an accident there or at a intersection. The vehicle is purposely tampered with during transit to cause loss of control and throttle. The vehicle throttle is gone, the gas peddle goes limp and the engine stops throttle for a duration. The engine then kicks in full force after a series of hard sputters on throttle jerking the car forward up a hill or into to a stop. I was in highland NY leaving a plaza, where this occurs, and other intersections with lights.
I try to start my car and the car will struggle to start or sometimes not turn over at all and no warning lights on the dashboard pop up. I had recieved a recall notice in the mail a couple of months ago about the power train. When I read up on in it said it may make the car not restart. Now if I turn the ignition to where all the lights pop up & put the car in neutral, the car will start up easier for me. I no longer have the notice and am wondering what I should do. When I type in my VIN # it say it doesnt have any open recalls, yet I recieved a notice.
Have had repeated issues with service stabilitrak light coming on while driving and then power being reduced to vehicle, causing unsafe driving conditions; following recall to reprogram computer engine fan ran continually for days; car died when startong, dealer replaced computer tried to return with check engine light on, now stabilitrak issue has recurred again. Not confident that dealership has any clue what is really wrong with this car. The dealership's most recent guess is that something is wrong with the transmission but that they are getting a code they don't recognize.
While driving the vehicle the engine light came on. The car only has 60,000. 00 on it but we took it in because the engine would just randomly stop and the car would stall. The vehicle when brought into the dealership, had been inspected and the car was missing parts. The intake manifold non return valve was missing. There was a vacuum leak at the pcv orifice external port. Water pump was leaking from bolt holes and cover plate. Coolant leak was found even though a few months prior to the leak, chevy "fixed" the recalled item. I believe that the vehicle has many faulty parts and this is the second time I have written a complaint about this company using faulty parts in there manufacturing process.
The vehicle stopped moving while cruising on the highway. The clutch and the flywheel stopped working randomly causing the vehicle to stop excelerating. Brought to two separate dealers who say we have to replace the parts. Very concerned this is a faulty part, not worn out from the driver.
While driving I lost engine power and had no foot throttle. The check light came on that stated reduced engine power and check stabilatrak. Shutting car off and restart did not fix. My car would not go over 4mph and I was nearly rear ended.
