Vehicle engine light is on. Vehicle is spilling oil causing smoke to be exhausted out of engine while driving vehicle. Engine has had coolant leaks and engine head gasket is blown.
This vehicle (chevy Cruze 2012) is the worst vehicle made possible. There is oil leaks that have been fixed that occur again . There is a coolant leak that was fixed by the radiator connector. 15 minutes later of driving the vehicle 2 more hoses popped and caused the coolant to leak again. The radiator went bad and was changed the vehicle still over heated . The thermostat was changed and the vehicle was fine for 2 days. I go to start the vehicle and it doesn't want to turn over . Come to find out at the same mechanic that I had the thermostat changed apparently said the head gasket was blown . Then says there's something wrong with the cylinder heads . So all in all . This vehicle has had oil leaks , coolant leaks , engine lights , radiator issues , cylinderr head problems , misfiring and now a head gasket problem . This brings a safety issue to me that while I am driving my car is misfiring on me in the middle of the road while there is traffic going on and tons of people on the road . I could potentially be driving this vehicle and because of all of this electrical issues that gm is not capable of manufacturing correctly on these vehicles (chevy Cruze) my car could of blew up while driving it. I have my nieces and nephews in the car while the car shakes out of nowhere which could of put there life in danger . Chevy is no help what so ever they only want to charge to even look at a car they manufactured!!!! I ask for help from them and they seem so carefree . My life is in danger and no one cares!! someone will die by gm hands if this issue cannot be correctly fixed on these vehicles . You guys are selling cars that can kill someone and once you guys are notified of this no one cares . Once there is a lawsuit under your company then maybe you guys will take this serious .
While driving the radio and other interior lights started flashing on and off. Now along with that the check engine light is on, the service stabiltrac is on and it will loose steering assist at times. Today it started dying when taking off and at intersections. I have spoken to a few diffrent techs and a couple diffrent shops on this matter and nobody has any answers as to what it is they all have said that they have several doing the same thing and can not figure them out.
Belt tensioner bolt came out and is now stuck in a spring in the engine. . The light on my radio fades in and out. . Rotor on drivers side had deformity to it . Still have the rotor and the spring is still stuck in engine I can't afford to get it fixed.
The car says in the instrument cluster "engine looses power" and to "service stabilitrac. " then I loose acceleration. I have to coast to the shoulder shut the car down and restart. It happens more often on the freeway which is super scary. This happens every time drive.
Hello, my 2012 chevy Cruze ltz's key fob isn't being detected by my vehicle. I've looked it up and asked around and either nobody's heard of the issue or don't know what to do other than take it to a mechanic. This doesn't happen all the time, but it's painstaking when I can't even use the key fob one minute and then the next it works fine. The vehicle has been stationary since this problem has occured.
While driving, on at least four occasions, I have lost power completely, causing all electrical functionings to stop, making me lose ability to accelerate, causing my lights to shut off, and all other functionalities of the car, besides steering and using inertia, resulting in pulling over without endangering myself or other drivers. There also seems to be a skipping or jumping involving the fuel injection when accelerating, which makes speed regulation irregular, sporadic, and does not allow the driver to make accurate judgements on the cars capabilities concerning timing and distance to other drivers. Recently, I was in motion driving through chatanooga, TN, where it is mountainous and has steep hills, during nighttime, so visibility was lessened, and danger, due to the type of road it was, was increased. While going downhill, luckily, with other cars around me traveling at 70 mph, my car just shut off, completely. I lost the ability to accelerate, my lights shut off, almost causing an accident with the cars around me. Luckily, I pulled onto the shoulder without any damages. This happened again, about two months ago, at a stop light. I began to accelerate, and in the middle of the intersection, my car shut off, I had to coast off of the road, lost all acceleration, and again almost was involved in an accident.
While breaking, using the blinker, turning, or just driving the car will loose power, slow the car down, the radio looses power, and my service stablitky track, service power steering, along with traction control, anti-breaking lights, and a few other light will all come back on. It will do this randomly while driving, it seems to do it more frequently when coming to a stop or accelerating. I had this serviced back in February of 2017 and the dealership told me I had acid from my battery leaking into the positive cable, so I had all the battery and battery wires replaced. This took care of the problem until a few weeks ago. This is happening more and more often and the problem is becoming worse. This is a persistent problem with the chevy Cruzes from the research I have done and chevy seems to be doing nothing about it.
While driving down the road down the road, radio turns on and off , ac stopped blowing, lights flashing on and off, stability track flashing, this is a problem, fix it, too many people are having the same issue! unacceptable!.
When I try and start my car sometime it stalls like it doesn't want to crank up and when I finally do get it crank the emergency lights flash, power steering comes on the screen and then windshield wipers come on. I had this problem previous a couple months again to where when I crank it the trunk came open and the stabilitak and jerk and other things would pop up. They put it on the machine and it said it was misfires so I went and got it fixed now it's happening again.

Car when in park with parking break and idiling in neutral. The steering wheel will jerk, the speedometer will spike at max speed and doors will lock and all dash lights flash on. While driving down the road between 25 to 45 mph the radio will turn itself off and then back on for no reason. Also while turning at slow speed, car will reset itself. As in it will lose all power to the power steering, ac, radio, everything and you will have to restart the car. Not safe at all when driving in traffic.
As I was driving my radio started going on and off then car completely shut off steering while went stiff to the left and locked as I was on the road scared the living spirit out of me was the scariest experiences luckly I was alone without my kids because that could of been a fatal accident. Also, the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to auto zone who found failure codes for the ecm and brakes. The dealer was contacted at 319-393-3300 and stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle needed to be brought in to be diagnosed. The dealer also stated that even though the vehicle experienced the failures in a recall ,it did not mean her vehicle was included in the recall. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13v360000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The vehicle was not diagnosed due to the diagnostic fee. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that there was no recall under the VIN, and that a manager would contact her back. No further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 80,600.

It would go off and on several time with the radio sometimes work and other times not. This would happen up to 4 times with in a 1/2 hour of driving. My daytime running light in the dash will go on and off. The blinker would go on and off. And after reading all the other people postings I soon will be having more issues with the electrical/radio/dash issues and the car shutting down and possible steering problems. . . . . That's just great! why hasn't gm done anything about this? why is it that people have to have a reck and possibly die before gm fixes this. . . . . We pay a lot a money for this cars and they should last a lot longer with out issues.
Takata recall I hear a dripping sound under the hood, followed by a sound like the dripping is hitting something hot. Electronics such as the radio, signals, and the entire computer screen is out. The car is at the autonation service center on security blvd. In baltimore and they are looking to profit from these defects. It's sad. . .

This is the second complaint that our government refuses to investigate for the government motors Chevrolet cruz vehicle. While driving, the radio will start to power cycle and the dash board instrument panel will also start flashing on and off. The vehicle will also shut completely off while driving. This will continue until you remove battery terminals and then reattach. This is happening to many chevy cruz's and the NHTSA refuses to do anything about it. Trunk electric open button does not work, must use the remote trunk button to open trunk. I hope that no small child should climb in trunk and close the trunk lid. When car is stationary. And remote is not close by.
The car will not turn off when the key is turned off and removed. It will just sit there and run until it decides to quit on it's own. I would really hate to have to shut it down in an emergency and not be able to. That could get someone seriously hurt or killed! also, the vapor canister vent/purge vent valve is defective. This seems to be a common problem with this model car and if that is the case, there should be a recall.

The turn signals quit working intermittent, radio display goes out like it is switched off , digital speedometer changes settings, these conditions occur when vehicle is driven. The service theft deterrent system comes on when vehicle is parked.
Recall 14311 but dealer does not do anything about it,my car have done this few times already but last couple of times it was really scary because I lost total control over the vehicle including steering and braking the car just show a sing on the dash and radio goes of as well as the rest of the vehicle electrical parts, almost causing a crash due to this issue, I was driving about 35mph and 40mph when this happen, also I notice the it happens when I use my turn signals and when I press up or down on the windows.
On several occasions my vehicle has lost power steering service. I have almost crashed into a metro rail and into another vehicle because I am unable to turn my wheel. On another occasion, I was about to park and the car turned off on me; the key was locked into the ignition and I couldn't turn it, the doors locked and nothing worked. I was stuck inside until after about 5 minutes, the car unlocked everything and the ecu turned back on. I've had to take it to the dealership twice for this problem and they have told me it's covered under a "special service" but these incidents happened almost a year apart. I do not believe the car is fixed. Also, the service stabilitrak and other lights flash on and off and so do my radio.

My radio flickers on and off, my abs llight, check engine light and other lights flicker off and on real fast and on my odometer I get a reading "traction control" and something about stabilitrak control. Everything flickers so fast it's hard to see everything that lights up. Apparently many others have had the exact same issues.
Driving the radio cuts in and out meanwhile service stabilitrac warning comes on. Does this around 6-12 times in a 30 minute drive to and from work. On a few instances the vehicle lost all power while driving. This occures on a daily basis. This happens while driving and at a stand still. Also the check engine light has come on numerous times. It is a p0597 code stating temp sensor is inoperable. Non of these issues should be going on in a 2012 with less than 45,000 miles on it.
