1 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 05/21/2019

I purchased a new replacement battery from Chevrolet in November 2018. On may 21. 2019, with only 3,670 miles on the new battery, the car would not start. The car was towed to the dealer, and was charged. The dealer explained that if I do not drive the car 30 miles a day, the battery will not maintain a charge after three or four days. For the last two years, I have driven this vehicle less than 30 miles a day and never had this problem. The dealer suggested that I buy a battery tender for the car but I have no access to a 110 volt plug. In December 2019, I am going to texas and my car will be parked at the airport for five days and I am afraid that the battery will be dead when I return. I searched the internet and saw that this is a problem amongst 2014 Equinox owners. General motors confirmed that this is an issue. General motors should inform owners of this issue and recommend a solution.
