1 Engine Grinding Noise problem

Failure Date: 12/05/2019

In the winter of 2018 after about a year of owning this vehicle, I started having issues with the engine. These ecotec engines are affected by oil consumption problems, gm knew about this and didn't decide to do a recall or anything like that. The engine started to make this growling or grinding noise in the engine, it would stall on me when I came to a stop at a stop sign or stoplight. The engine seized on me when I was beginning to make a left turn at night during a snowstorm. Thankfully there weren't really any others driving on the road during that time. I had to get a new engine dropped in the following month of February in 2019. As time went on and I drove the vehicle with the new engine, as of recently I'm beginning to experience the same symptoms of which I was having before when it first went out. It would jerk when I came to a stop, the engine wound stall out but cut right back on, and it idled/idles roughly. In order to stop the stalling and jerking issue I would have to shift the car into neutral then back into drive so I won't hold up the traffic behind me. This is very unsafe, I never know when the engine could go out as I'm driving. Gm knew about these issues and failed to do proper protocol. This is absolutely unacceptable. And I've noticed I'm not the only affected by these issues.
