We bought our son this vehicle when he got his license back in sept 2019. The front passenger seat sensor isn't working causing the passenger air bag to not be safely engaged. This is a huge safety issue and should be a recall and replaced immediately. Also, there is hardly any heat coming from the blowers. We had it in multiple times but noone can figure it out. We have replaced: heater core, water pump, thermostat, radiator, resevoir. Ect. . Flushed it a million times and had the heads pressure checked, nothing worked. It gets very little heat when idling, and gives "luke warm" heat when rpms increase while driving. Last winter my son could hardly keep his windshield defrosted/defogged and almost lost visibility while driving to school. Not to mention freezing to death with no adequate heat. This is a huge safety issue.

I drive my car everyday. It has seat heaters in the front seats. I have cloth seats. I was noticing that whenever I turned my seat warmer on, it was getting really hot in one specific place and made my leg burn. One day, I looked at my leg after I got out and there was a small burn on my leg. I looked at the seat and there was a small burn mark/ hole through my seat. I do not turn the heaters on anymore, obviously. However, sometimes it comes on on its own and gets super hot and I can't turn it off. So, I had to start driving with a blanket under me so I didn't get burned. I was scared the blanket was going to catch fire, so I took it to a shop to get looked at. They said it had short curcuited and that I should check to see if the seats had been recalled. I called cheverlet and all they told me was that there was not a recall and basically said that sucks. I don't want this to happen to anyone else and I also don't think it's fair that I have to pay out of pocket to fix it. Chevy didn't even offer to file a report about my incident.

January 2015 gm sent a special coverage notice regarding seat heaters that overheat and fail. I object to the diagnosis fee charged if the heater element is not causing the failure. If it is another part such as a heater module I will be charged $110. 00 refunded if I replace the module at extra cost. I feel this is unfair since I do not know what caused the failure of my driver's seat heater and gm should beat the diagnosis fee. Can you help this customer.
