I was struck from behind (other driver est. 35 mph) I was sitting still at zero speed. During this rear-end collison the driver seat back support and head rest broke. I ended up in the back seat of my vehicle causing back injuries. I am questioning the durability of the front seats of this vehicle.
The Equinox was at a dead stop waiting for an oncoming car to pass so a left turn could be made. A distracted driver rear ended our vehicle at about 55 mph causing our vehicle to spin 180 degrees into the opposing lane of traffic. As a result of the impact both front reclining seats broke into a permanent recline position; the front passenger sustained a back injury and the child in a child restraint seat in the back seat behind the passenger seat was struck on the knee and forehead by the front passenger seat. The driver sustained an injury to the right leg.

During a recent crash that I was in, when my air bag deployed I was pushed back into the seat. The seat came unlatched and plunged into the back seat where I had my daughter in her car seat. It was my understanding by both the insurance company and the dealer that this is to never happen.
