1 Power Window problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Equinox

Failure Date: 05/01/2013

The power window control on the driver side no longer works, the power lock on that side quit working as well. Now I hear there is a recall of 2006 gm vehicles with the same issue, but not my car. Is this a coincidence or not enough complaints from Equinox owners? the risk that caused the recall was the potential for a fire. Do I need to worry that my car will catch fire?.

2 Power Window problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Equinox

Failure Date: 03/12/2013

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. While driving various speeds, the right turn signal mechanism would illuminate continuously when activated. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. In addition, the driver side power window failed to operate. The contact also mentioned that the driver side headlight bulb was replaced six times. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The VIN and failure mileage were unavailable.

3 Power Window problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox

Failure Date: 07/30/2009

At 57,000 miles the windshield wipers stopped working on my 2007 Equinox right in the middle of a rain storm. I have been told gm is aware of the problem but no recall. This is an expensive repair. I would like some assistance from gm on the repair.

4 Power Window problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

Failure Date: 01/02/2007

Driver side window fails to correctly go up at times. Seams to be off track. Dealership recommended replacing several parts to correct the issue, at a high cost. Currently, problem is unresolved, as I am avoiding the expense. Also, key often gets stuck, jammed in the ignition, requires use of a flathead screwdriver to remove plastic ring around key, and excessive wiggling of key to remove it from the ignition. Dealership found no issue, suggested key was bent. Still occurs with a new key. Vehicle fails to start at times. When key is turned it produces a cranking sound. Similar to a starter going out or the sound of someone holding the key after the truck starts. Requires me to push on the accelerator to start truck. No issue found by dealership.

5 Power Window problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

Failure Date: 09/10/2004

Retained accessory power mode - otherwise known as the ability to put power windows up with a window of time after keys have been removed from the ignition but no doors opened - windows will not operate - but radio and inside light does stay on. . . . Owners manual says it should be able to do this. . . . . . But none of the cars checked at the dealership work like this. . . . I enjoyed this feature in my 2003 trailblazer. . . . . And just wish this car did what the manual says - so far dealership says the manual is often generic and that this must not be a feature of the Equinox ---I hope they are wrong and some programming will correct this matter -.

6 Power Window problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

Failure Date: 08/03/2004

When driving at highway speed and the rear power windows were down the sound of a flat tire was produced. Dealer stated that was a normal feature of the vehicle.
