Suspension Problems of Chevrolet Express

Improper welding on chassis frame extensions. 6 individual points for welds and insufficient and pose an extreme safety risk. National general insurance sent out an inspector and I have a report denying my claim under insurance and calling this a manufacturer default (chevy chassis, forest river sunseeker c class motorhome) reported to Chevrolet 9/25 and the say because it's out of warranty, I can submit a claim to cost assistance with no guarantees.

This vehicle was sold for use over us highways, as "repairable condition". After going to a mechanic shop, I was advised, because of sever rust the rear leaf spring hangers were completely rusted thru, the rear axle assembly could come off or the frame could break in half, by just going over say, a railroad crossing. The mechanic said they would not repair this vehicle for use to drive on roads. I am requesting a local representative to help evaluate if this vehicle is safe to travel on oklahoma roads.

The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Express 4500. While driving 60 mph, the contact heard several banging sounds underneath the vehicle. The contact examined underneath the camper and discovered that the springs were not strong enough to carry the load of the camper. The 2018 chev 4500 is the problem the springs are not heavy enough and it lays on the stops and is unsafe to drive. The contact stated that the camper was riding over the yellow, rubber overload stops. According to the front end tag of the camper, the camper had the ability to haul up to 4,600 lbs; however, the contact's load was less than the weight capacity. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they were not responsible for the failures. The coachmen manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The camper was not repaired. The failure mileage was 468. The VIN was invalid.

2015 Chevrolet city Express. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle tires issue. Consumer has previous complaints with different vehicles listed in artemis. The consumer stated the tires were wearing out on the inside and outside edges prematurely. The alignment was checked and it was within the recommended specifications.

The brakes on my vehicle were inspected at homewood Chevrolet in illinois and they did not need pads or anything, however, the brakes brakes release on their own when you are driving. There was a hydraulic recall and I never received any information…. . The headlights on my car also keep burning out within weeks of having them changed. The vehicle has some suspension issue as well. There was also a recall for that which I received no notice for…. I have not moved since purchasing this vehicle.

Van suddenly dropped on right front side and steering pulled violently right.

While driving at 55mph van would drift back & forth into one lane, and then another. Would be hard to maintain control when this happened. Vehicle is a high conversion on 6 cylinders.
