1 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2011 Chevrolet Express 1500

Failure Date: 01/22/2020

We developed a significant leak in a rear brake line of our van. The leak did not lead to a loss of control, but the brake reservoir was nearly empty when I discovered the issue. The leak was discovered based on a large spot left on our driveway under the van. The vehicle was probably driven about 50-100 miles (one to two days) after the leak developed but before the issue was discovered and addressed. While fixing the problem, I found that the leak was due to an assembly error. The van's fuel filler down-pipe has a worm-gear clamp that was not properly clocked. This caused the clamp to rub one of the rear brake lines and wear a hole in it. I sent two pictures showing the clamp and brake line as I discovered them. I also sent a picture of the damaged line after being removed from the vehicle. The van had about 87,000 miles when the leak developed.

2 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2008 Chevrolet Express 1500

Failure Date: 02/02/2018

We've complained numerous times about the brakes. After having a complete brake rehab on July 7th, 2017, I experienced a complete brake failure on Feb. 2nd, 2018 losing all brakes instantly as I approached a 6 lane intersection. I contacted the owner of the dealership both by phone and email and did not receive any response. I was told that a hose or tubing was rubbing against the brake lines causing an abrupt loss of fluid? why this was not noticed during the earlier brake work seems questionable. Moreover, I am out hundreds of dollars following the earlier brake work that totaled about one thousand dollars just 7 months previous. To this day the brakes feel "mushy" and I have no confidence in the work done to solve the problem.

I was braking while exiting the freeway and lost the rear brakes. After an inspection, I found the brake line broke about midway through the chasse. I also found that the brake lines would crack where ever you bent them. I had to have all the brake system replaced because of corrosion at a cost of $2143. 00.
