The engine began a random misfire problem, p0300 code. I got the throttle body changed out, now the car revs higher every time I start it. It gives itself fuel in reverse and drive, with no help from the gas pedal. It is unsafe.

Key locks in the ignition in the on position and car cuts off while driving.
I was driving down the interstate at about 70 mph, when I began to get the messages service esc esc off, traction control of, engine reduced power and not to mention all my lights lit up like a christmas tree. Also when all of this started to happen my vehicle jerks reduced speed drastically and was shaking vigorously I hurry up and exited the interstate and turned off my vehicle I waited a few minutes and the vehicle started right up 3 miles or so down the road the exact same thing happened only this time I was turning unto a busy intersection and I was left stranded in the middle of the street because the car would not budge I had to end up getting it towed. This is something that it's very dangerous and if I would have had my kids with me I wouldn't be as calm as I am now. I am livid and outraged as to why this has not been recalled. How many complaints does it take until this type of situation gets addressed the way it needs to? now haven't spent over $600 my problem still exists but only now my vehicle is inoperable and parked. Please someone give us answers the correct answers the answers we've all been searching for and do the right thing.
Tl the contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Hhr. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle lost power and failed to accelerate. The check engine indicator illuminated during the failure. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the throttle position sensor failed. The dealer was not notified. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that the warranty was expired and the contact would be responsible for the repair cost. The failure mileage was 135,000.
A faint noise was heard and I pulled the vehicle over to the side of road walked around the entire vehicle looking to see if anything stood out, assessed the tires, engine and nothing appeared to be wrong. I proceeded to get on the ramp on and as I went through the toll booth driving around 40 mph, the car accelerated to a speed of about 87 mph, the steering could not be controlled it was almost as if it was in a locked position. Once the vehicle took off at the high speed, it then came almost to a complete stop. The sound of the engine was revving but the speed was not supporting the sound. I proceeded to brake, use the accelerator and was going back and forth between the two functions but neither would work. Scared to go into the flow of heavy traffic, I placed the vehicle in neutral which allowed me to roll down the ramp and onto the shoulder. I then turned the vehicle off and let it sit and attempted to turn it back on to remove it more out of the driving lane, but the vehicle would not move.
The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Hhr. While driving up to 10 mph, the check engine indicator flashed off and on and the vehicle would not accelerate. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 86,000.

I owe 3700. On the car and to fix it is 3200. 00 sadly I do t have the money. No care, no way to get to work. Car was sitting in parking lot of our local save a lot.

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Hhr. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a period of reduced engine power while being operated 45-50 mph. The engine power reduced warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be replicated. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 140,000.
Driving at 70 mph on freeway and suddenly "engine power reduced" warning comes on display and I can't accelerate. The engine cut off. On the freeway. This is not safe (obviously) and I don't see myself buying another chevy again. I have a family and this problem could kill us all.
While driving the car engine light appeared, I had it towed to the Chevrolet dealer near me, in rockaway, NJ. They reported that the charge would be over one thousand dollars, and there is a recall.
Power steering suddenly stops working and indicator light on dashboard says power steering- this happens intermittently while driving. Most of the time shutting of the vehicle and then restarting it will get the power steering working again for a short time. After driving the vehicle or allowing it to idle in the driveway then turning it off it will not start again for a minimum of 1 hour. While driving -slowing down to make a left hand turn- the engine has abruptly shut off and not immediately restarted. This is an extremely unsafe vehicle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I am unable to get gm or my local chevy dealership to complete the two outstanding safety recalls in a timely manor. I've been extremely patient but they refuse to accommodate my simple needs. I've been working with chevy of south anchorage (dealership) since 4/8/2015 attempting to schedule the work for the weekend or get a loaner car. They were unable to accommodate my needs (a car while mine is being repaired or a loaner car). I contacted Chevrolet customer assistance center on 12/1/2016 after repeatedly being ignored or lied to by the dealership. For the past three month I've been getting absolutely no help from Chevrolet in getting a appointment for the weekend or a loaner car. I feel very unsafe driving the car but have no alternative. This has continued to cause me serious emotional distress. I have 57 emails between myself and Chevrolet customer assistance center or the dealership attempting to get this resolved on top of the countless phone calls, voicemails, and numerous visits to the dealership.
I was driving a freeway speeds when the engine suddenly went into limp home mode. I received the following dash indications - service esc, traction off, reduced engine power. Upon further inspection we found a failed accelerator position sensor and we had the following trouble codes stored in the computer: p2135 Chevrolet - throttle/pedal position sensor/switch 'a'/'b' voltage correlation replaced the accelerator position sensor and gas pedal assembly, at this point the car seems fine. I have the failed part.
I was driving 55mph when my reduced power light came on and my car wouldn't go over 40 mph with my gas pedal all the way to the floor. The next day pulled the battery cable and let it reset. Drove fine for 3 miles and then did the same thing. Reduced power came on and wouldn't go over 40mph. Very dangerous when driving on the highway and your car suddenly slows down and there are cars behind you and you can't get over!.
I work two jobs just bought my 2011 chevy Hhr just over a year ago and started getting reduced engine power light and then lose power and have trouble going over 20 struggles to get to 40 mph I have 3 young children that ride with me and there safety is numbe one and if I can't trust my new vehicle then how can I trust chevy.

After driving several hours, came to a road construction area and stopped for a couple of minutes and the engine began to stumble and eventually died after a minute or so. After setting still with the engine and ignition off, the car started back up and went on down the road without any further incident.
While driving on dry even pavement the esc light/system kicked in on my 2011 Hhr causing loss of control of the throttle and brakes. Luckily, no other cars or pedestrians were near me or there could have been an accident. The car was undriveable until the ignition this turned completely off and on again. I had it checked and no error codes were stored on the ecm/bcm. This is a very dangerous problem!! this is the second time it happened to me and I may not be so lucky the next time!.
Lost all electronic power and steering and shut off wound up in the ditch which stopped the car key would not turn to the off posiposition.
The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Hhr. The contact noticed a leak of hot air/liquid under the dashboard coming from the front and rear of the vehicle. The contact was burned from the hot water leakage. The contact also stated that the vehicle made an abnormal swoosh noise when making turns, which created a hot mist inside the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 132,000.
At a red light and was rear ended which cause me to it the rear end of the car in front of me.
When notified regarding the recall of the vehicle in April, I contacted the local Chevrolet dealer in upland California and ordered the necessary parts to repair the vehicle. I was told that the parts would in in the dealership within two months. Calling the dealer in may, I was told that the parts had not come in yet. Yesterday the car would not start due to the ignition switch. The car was towed to the mountain view Chevrolet in upland, where I was informed that they had no record of the parts being ordered, and that it would take two months to get the parts. I called Chevrolet customer service and was told that recall parts could not be expedited. It means I have to wait two more months to drive the car again.

Turned the key and started my car and then I couldn't turn it off. I could take the key out but the vehicle would not shut off as the ignition switch appears to be stuck in the on position. Took it to gm dealer in salinas to ask about it but said could not assist me till Wednesday, granted it was Saturday so okay, but could not help me shut off the vehicle. Said it most likely would not be associated with the recall though it seems related.
Tl - the contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Hhr. The contact stated he was trying to turn of the vehicle, and his key was stuck, and the vehichle wouldn't shut off. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. Around April my car started to have a hard time accelerating. A warning cane on the dash that read "loosing enginepower" or words to that effect. When I would brake my car would shake. When I would drive at about 35 my car steering wheel would start b to shake and was hard to control. I took it to my local chevy dealership where I had the oil change, all four breaks replaced, the tech took a ride with me to hear and feel what my car had been doing. He said he didn't know what it was but ran a diagnostic on it and it said multiple things maybe wrong with, such as the fuel injector, the turbo had came up and a fuel regulator and the electrical system. I asked if it was safe to drive and they insured me it was. My car continued to make all these sounds and struggled to accelerate and the breaks were still slipping. On April 17th I was driving on my son's field trip and suddenly my car started to lose power. I pulled over to side of the interstate at the truck stop. I turned my car off and oil was every where. I had my car towed to the local dealership where I purchased the car. They said the timing chain had broke, causing major damage to my engine. I will have to replace my engine. Had my car been properly diagnosed, this could have been prevented. I am now out I found a vehicle due to this misduagnoses. I have had this car for almost 2 years.
