Radio/tape Cd Player Problems of Chevrolet HHR

When the car had less than 36,000 miles all of the speakers blew out at the same time. The dealer replaced them under warranty now at 84,000 miles they have blown again. I do not play the radio loud, so that is not the the problem. I have talked to a car radio tech, and he says that Hhrs have a big problem with this. If this is that big of a problem shouldn't their be some type of warranty on this. Both times this happens I was just going down the road listing to the radio when the volume just dropped to almost nothing. .

This issue involves a 2008 Chevrolet Hhr with the base radio system. The main door mounted radio speakers stopped functioning in 2017. The a-pillar high frequency "tweeter" speakers continue to work but are unintelligible. With the main radio speakers out, two safety features no longer work; the seat belt warning chime and the onstar subscription safety service. I believe both these systems rely on the driver's side door mounted speaker. Other safety chimes, if any, would also be affected. This is not an isolated case as I personally know of other Hhrs with the same issue.

I have had numerous problems first off my dash lights will flicker while driving sometimes the radio and dash won't work at all, backs of my driver and passenger seats have fallen off, both driver and passenger door handles are broke the drivers handle is completely broke off, also when it rains my passenger floor board fills up with water, my seats are so dirty looking cause something keeps bleeding through upolstery, ignition and shift lever had to be replaced today cause car wouldn't go into park and key wouldn't come out!! also the car used to slide when on a corner or rough road!! this is ridiculous!! the door handles is a safety hazard god for bid if I'm in a wreck or my car starts on fire I won't be able to get out of my car and I can't afford to have them fixed right now because I recently lost my job!!.

2008 Chevrolet Hhr. Door locks stick. Vehicle has locked me in. Door locks still stick. Has been in dealer eight times where purchased to be fixed. Purchased new . Have all work orders . Also have had trouble with radio and tire pressure . We have video of me being locked in vehicle and door locks sticking. We purchased the 2008 Hhr in good faith the door locks have given us trouble from day one of purchase. Gm had people come from main office to dealer they have seen the work orders and video of door locks sticking. Rep. From gm told me I could always climb out the window.

This complaint is about a 2006 chevy Hhr I have had the since new and have had the radio replaced three times (including the one that came with the car) the last time gm tried to charge me for a new radio. I feel they know they have problems with it and we (the consumer) should not have to buy another one from gm on Dec 3, 2007 I was driving on expressway i69 in michigan with the radio off. As I was driving the radio suddenly made a loud pop (or what I call an explosion noise) the noise is so loud it can hurt your ears. The noise startled me so much I hit the brake and the car behind me almost rear-ended me. Since gm knows they have a problem with this, tells me there are plenty others out there with the same problem. I doubt gm will fix this problem which could result in an accident or death until the government makes them . Thank you.
