The contact stated that the air bag indicator illuminated and the tire pressure monitoring system indicated that the tire pressure was decreasing. In addition, there was a recurring failure of tread separation with the replacement tires over the course of two months. A dealer was not made aware of the failures. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures through several voice messages by the contact. The tire size, dot number, VIN, and tire failure mileage were unknown. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 108,000.

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Hhr. The contact stated while driving 35 mph the steering wheel began pulling to the left. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to correct the problem. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 50 and the current mileage was 17,000. Updated 03/14/12

When the consumer returned the vehicle to the dealer, they found the alignment was out of specification. The repair was made. However, the consumer continued to experience problems. The vehicle had to be aligned several times. Also, the left front tire sensor was not reading the tire pressure and there was a noise coming from the gear shift or axle. The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Hhr. The vehicle has firestone affinity touring, size p21555r16 (na) low profile tires. While on a road trip, the contact noticed that the front driver side tire was flattening. He arrived at his destination without a failure. The following morning, the contact noticed that the tire was completely flat. He placed air in the tire and drove to a dealer in maryland, but they could not find any failures. He returned to alabama and took the vehicle to his local dealer so they could inspect the tires. They could not identify any failures as well. The rear tire failed and a local mechanic suggested that the tires may be overinflated. There had been no further occurrences since receiving the mechanic's suggestion. The dot number was unknown. The failure mileage was 8,000 and current mileage was 15,000.
