Tire Problems of Chevrolet HHR

All four of the tires I bought developed numerous cracks in less that 18 months of use, and less than 10,000 miles of use. Uniroyal will not state if the tires are safe or not.

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Hhr equipped with primewell ps830 tires (na), size 215/55/r16 (na). The contact stated that the tires lost air pressure and were out of round. The failure occurred on several occasions. The dealer stated that there was no failure and added air to the tires. The vehicle was not repaired. This car is a safety hazard going down road. I bought it new in 2008. Rotors & brakes are horrible - have to have repaired multiple times. Bearings have went out, replaced & one went out again. I spend approx 1200 dollars a year just to get shaking out of front end, turning rotors & tires. But that isn't really the problem I am reporting: was having trouble with ignition switch - it was recalled - took it to dealer to have it replaced - understand that I was having no problems with car at this time - upon leaving dealers and within 15 miles power steering light comes on & I lose power steering. Now my power steering goes out unexpectedly whenever it decides to. Took back to dealer because I felt this was something they messed up and was told this is just a problem with Hhrs and that power steering motor needs to be replaced. After researching this. . . It is very common with this car, along with brake issues, severe shaking in front, bearings going out and many other problems that I have also had. I realize my car is high mileage, I work as a home health nurse & use this car for work, but I do keep it maintained. I hope that I will be able to get into different car before I get in accident in this one.

2008 Chevrolet Hhr. Door locks stick. Vehicle has locked me in. Door locks still stick. Has been in dealer eight times where purchased to be fixed. Purchased new . Have all work orders . Also have had trouble with radio and tire pressure . We have video of me being locked in vehicle and door locks sticking. We purchased the 2008 Hhr in good faith the door locks have given us trouble from day one of purchase. Gm had people come from main office to dealer they have seen the work orders and video of door locks sticking. Rep. From gm told me I could always climb out the window.

All auto tires have a six year shelf life. All auto tires should have an expiration date engraved in the tire as does a container of milk.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Hhr. The vehicle has firestone affinity tires, size p/215/55/r16 (na). While driving 15 mph through small quantities of water, the vehicle fishtailed as if the tires had poor traction. The contact took the tires to an authorized dealer, but they could not locate the cause of the failure. He still has possession of the tires. The dot number was unknown. I am having tire problems, premature wear on front, and knocking noise in front steering, took it to I took it to the local dealer they replaced the steering assy, but did nothing with tires, now I need tires and have gone to 5 different tire stores, and all of them state that the tires I have on my 2007 Chevrolet Hhr 2. 2 dohc, are not the proper ones for the vehicle rating. And no one carries them. And if they did they would be 175. 00 per tire, tires in mention are p215/50 r17 90t, I would expect full tire replacement at no charge to myself and others in this situation.

My 2007 Hhr came brand new, with firestone firehawk gta tires. They are terrible. They don't adequately handle rainy roads, and hydroplane way too easily. I was 15-20 mph below the speed limit, in barely moderate rain, and hydroplaining. I have never had such a poorly performing set of tires before. They only have 15k miles on them, with even tread wear. Poor design. These are gta 3 tires, but there wasn't an option for that on this website, so I entered gta 2.

Tread buckleing on both rear tires, appeared tread comming off (dot number: vn11bia237 tiresize: lt245/75r).
