1 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 02/20/2019

My car has had the power steering rack replaced 3 times within a 6 months time frame. My transmission was replaced and it seems to be slipping again I have had it replaced under a year ago. I was driving when I noticed my car slipping from 11st fear into second. The defrost does not work properly and all windows are frozen making it unsafe to drive your vehicle.

2 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2017

When turned car on wipers did not work, they would intermittently come on and work before they completely stopped working and do not turn on at all. Changed the wiper motor and the wiper switch and they still do not work. I currently do not have working wipers on my car. Pep boys was unable to diagnose a problem.

3 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 06/02/2015

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Impala. While driving at 55 mph, the windshield wipers failed to function. The failure recurred once. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 86,870.

4 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 02/03/2015

The rear window defogger failed to operate and a burning smell was detected by passengers. It was discovered that an electrical connector that routes the power to the rear window defogger has a defective design and overheats and burns due to improperly sized connector pins in wiring harness connector located near the passenger kick panel. The problem is also documented in a number of sites on the internet including youtube where a video of the exact failure was found to be the identical failure as in our Impala. . Read more...

5 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 12/27/2014

Turned on rear window defroster, smelt burning plastic near passenger side door, found wire harness on passenger side kick panel melted at the rear window defroster connection due to high heat in the connector and it had scorched the underside of the interior carpet. Burnt both male and female ends of connector so it no longer works. Contacted Chevrolet and was told that it was a common problem that they had seen but there was no recall or advisory on it.

6 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2013

The vehicle is blowing cold air out of the passenger side of the vehicle even though the dual temperature controls are both set to hot. The safety issue here is that the defrost is also blowing cold air and will eventually cause impaired visibility due to the defroster not working on the passenger side. Doing research on the issue it seems to be the actuator on the passenger side. I just recently replaced the actuator on the drivers side.

7 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2009

Since I have had my Impala I have had several problems with the CA. The first problem that I noticed was that my windshield wiper fluid stop coming out after on having the car a few months, I later found out that the motor had gone out. Another problem that im having is that the check tire service light continues to come on even after, tires have been filled and replaced, I have also noticed that on occasions many of the other service lights come on like check airbags, and brakes even after car has been serviced. My biggest issue is that my transmission fluid has begun to leak out my car and no one not even the dealership can figure out where or why its leaking. This causes the car to hesitate and jerk upon acceleration. Reading a lot of the forums out I'm not the only person having these problems and I think that an investigation should be done on the Impala.
