general problems of the 2008 Chevrolet Impala

Dear sir or madam, this past week we completed a purchase of a 2008 Chevrolet Impala form a local dealer in arnold, missouri. It is a model lt-1. After we got home I started to read the owners manual and examine the car. I eventually noticed that the trunk lid had no key hole. I checked an abbreviated manual we were given. It said I was to pull the rear seat back down to gain access to the trunk in case of emergency. They do not pull down in any way shape or form. I asked if I had come up with a dead battery and a child had crawled into the trunk that I was unloading and closed the trunk. How would I get the child out. No power, no key lock, no other access, unable to get to the battery to jump start the car. How do I save this child? the dealer called the manufacturer and the answer I got was I had opened a "can of worms". So what do I do?.
