The contact stated that the traction control, reduced engine power and the disabling throttle warning lights illuminated as the vehicle suddenly reduced in speed and stalled. The contact had to wait a moment after turning the vehicle off to restart the vehicle several times. The contact stated that the failure progressed intermittently and was becoming worse. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the accelerator pedal assembly throttle position sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000.
