Stabiltrak abs traction control warning lights all come on vehicle shudders and power is reduced. Researched and found 100's of reports of the same issue with the Impala and similar complaints in the light truck and SUV models. Fix is relatively inexpensive if your mechanically / electrically inclined as involves splicing in a new wire harness for the abs sensor. Said harness is about $20 it shorts out due to insufficient gauge of wire used on original factory install. Replace harness has much sturdier gauge from what my research says. Repair shop quoted $700 to repair glad I told them to put it back together. They have a fleet of Impalas as loaners so they know they are gouging people when they say replace wheel hub assembly abs sensor and wiring harness when they know it's the abs sensor period. Chevy needs to do a recall. Issue happens when car is in motion after turning or going over a bump wiring that has been wore thru due to placement of wiring in a high friction area, wire wears through coating exposes wiring that shorts out and sends codes to computer concerning abs stabiltrak and traction assist causes vehicle to behave erratically others have reported caused vehicle to stall and not restart until problem corrected. I'm sure they are gouged for a thousand $ or more. Wet road conditions, extreme heat or cold, left turn while backing, jarring bumps, all trigger the dash to light up like christmas tree dinging alarm goes off steering shudders power is reduced. It's a huge distraction and safety concern for so many to be experiencing gm should stand up and take care of the problem.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the service electronic stabili-trac warning light flashed on the instrument panel and the vehicle jerked and shuddered with the accelerator pedal depressed. The failure also recurred while the vehicle was being reversed. Additionally, the vehicle vibrated and shuddered at speeds exceeding 55 mph. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. Neither the dealer nor manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,000.
It keeps saying on the odometer electric stability control or track and lower the power. My car was on motion on a city street with cars all around us. I've read that several people were having trouble with the same thing. Why don't they recall.
I have a 2013 Chevrolet Impala--I have had multiple problems with; my dashboard lights up with service stablitrack, brake assist, traction control, and the abs light comes on while driving down the road. I have taken it to numerous places, that tested it, and was told no problem was found. It makes a grinding noise when in reverse; sometimes it doesn't want to accelerate, especially when it rains. Also my passenger seat's, buckle up alarm, goes off when no one is sitting there and the front window always seems dirty, even after it's cleaned-inside and out.
The service stabilitrak/abs/brake control lights turn on and off incessantly regardless of whether I'm moving, turning, breaking, etc. It's seemingly completely random. Every ime they do, the car dings, making the ride unbearable ("ding, ding, ding. . . Ding, ding, ding" ad naseum). This happened before and I had the vehicle serviced under warranty, a little over 1. 5 years ago. It's now happening again. Countless reports on forums indicate that it's a very common issue with the wiring harness going to the hub assembly. Gm should recall this. It's distracting, unsafe, and seemingly unfixable in the long term. This will be the second time I've fixed this in less than 50,000 miles driven.
Get abs, traction control, stable stability sensors on. In motion and when sitting still. Resets but comes right back on.
My reduce engine power light, service stabilitrak light and abs light is on also check engine light. Car will not go ove 30 to 40 mph. The car will reduce speed on the highway. And streets. I live in illinois. I've done tried everything. The car was in the shop for over a month cost me $1500 to fix every issues the mechanic thought was wrong and the car still have the same issues. I have even just recently brought a new gas cap because that light kept saying tighten. This can be really stressful. I dont think I will ever buy another chevy car again. As I research my issue just by typing in the problems without giving the make and model of car. I see all these problems are only with chevy vechiles. What do I do?.
When braking or turning a grinding sound similar to bad brakes (front brakes were redone less than 1 year ago) and the service stabilitrack, abs lights come on and periodically shut off. I've shut off traction control but it still engages when turning left occasionally causing reduced acceleration and danger to myself when crossing traffic. Vehicle at 95k miles but this happened before at around 50k miles and was repaired by dealer and partially covered by bumper to bumper warranty.
Stable control and abs light comes in when I star on wet payment I hear notice and slight vibration, but light goes off and on at various times, noy log enough for dealer to check it out.
Traction control applies random breaking while turning on residential streets.
I purchased my vehicle on March 23 2019 . I have made several repairs to car but the problem persists . If I'm at a stop and I proceed to drive and make a left my car will make a grinding noise and the traction control light will flash it makes it dangerous to join traffic safely . I looked online and several people have the same exact issue with their vehicles . Service traction control. Service stabilitrak service brake assist will go on when I try to make a u turn . . Ive replaced left driver side wheel hub with abs sensor replaced tpms and had alignment done . I felt the tea admission is being affected by this issue . So I had it serviced as well . I feel chevy should do a recall immediately.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. While driving approximately 60 mph, the "service stabilitrack" message displayed on the message center. The vehicle lost acceleration, the rpms increased, and the vehicle surged forward. The contact stated that the failure occurred for approximately eight months. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 94,000.
I was in motion on a 50 mph state road, when all of a sudden my dash started dinging and when I looked down it stated "service stabilitrac" , and "engine power reduced". My car suddenly went down to about 40 mph and would not go any faster. It appears chevy has had recalls for this issue, but not for my model year.
Passenger side low beam headlights goes out every two weeks. I have had everything done still stop working. Also abs system continues to light up and brakes act up .
I've had my 2013 lt Impala for 39 months I am currently financing this vehicle however the actuators I keep repeating and they keep going out constantly and the repairs are very expensive I've replaced these multiple times and after a month it does the problem again which ended up draining my battery each time. I have replaced my battery for a brand new one and everything was fine I got the problem of all 3 actuator fixed and here we are now and my vehicle is dead the battery was drained because the actuators keep going out and the ticking noise never stops and it goes even when I'm not present in the car and random times throughout the night without the key in the ignition.
Was traveling along and I think I had just completed a left hand turn when the car dinged. I looked at the dash and three messages popped up, "service stabilitrak", "service brake assist", "service traction control" and the abs light comes on and the traction off light shows up. Happens quite frequently have had it fixed at least once on this vehicle and also on my 2012 Impala before it was totaled.
While driving and usually making hard turn and braking the service stabilitrak, traction control, brake assist messages appear all at the same time and the abs light turned on. Had diagnostics checked on it and found code for front right wheel bearing and possible abs sensor. Had the wheel bearing and hub assembly replaced by professional auto repair shop. Drove home and as returning home, made left turn and braked and felt the brakes slightly lock up. Hit gas and all lights and messages reappeared. Serviced at 87,000 miles.
There is a "known" issue with this vehicle, especially when turning left. The car will decelerate and traffic is a safety issue. I found the cause via google and needs to get addressed. The car will always display driver feedback on the dashboard. It simulates when driving through an icy patch. The car will not excel but rather decelerate. This happened to me just last week turning into payton manning children's hospital.
My vehicle has 66,000 miles on it. I am taking it in for the 3rd time due to the service stabilitrak and service abs warning. The car makes a grinding noise in the front end when turning (usually left) or when shifting from reverse to drive. The front speed control hub has been replaced twice to supposedly correct his problem. However, since it is happening again, I am relatively certain that the hub will need to be replaced a third time. That is unacceptable in a vehicle with only 66,000 miles on it.
I was driving down the road with my child and my service stabilitract and abs light came on and when I went to turn all u heard was a grinding noise and the wheel like locked up and wouldn't let me turn until like 5 seconds later almost causing me and my kids to get hit into a really terrible wreck with cars coming at us at 55 mph.
When I back-up I hear a grinding noise then the abs and service stabilitrace warning indicators illuminates red on the dashboard; this is the second time happing to this car the first the dealer repaired that was about 30,000 miles ago replaced the wheel bearings, worked for a while.
Last year I took my car to chevy and they told me that nothing was wrong and that they can not replicate the grinding noise or see the stabilitrak light on. A year later and it is grinding more and the stabilitrak light stays on. Is there a recall for this? I have kept my car up on tune ups and oil changes, but this stabilitrak issue is getting more and more annoying each day and that grinding noise does not sound good after I was told it was nothing to worry about.
Service stabilitrack warning indicator lights flash and beep while all guages go to zero and back while door locks are also engaging open and closed at all speeds. Has been almost on daily basis for the last few months. Before 6 months ago would only happen occasionally. Vehicle will lose acceleration for a few seconds. . This will happen several times while driving consecutive almost 10-20 times in a row. Traction control and abs, brake assist will also have warning lights go off. Have had my car in 2 diffrent shops and spent almost $2000 and still no fix. . Chevy needs to do a better job explaining what service stabilitrack consist of. Mechanics have no clear idea what to fix. Is there a recall on this system. Any help would be much appreciated. Chevy has no answers.
The wire harness that controls the left front abs and stabilitrak broke causing the abs to engage on it's own while driving on the highway. After reading online it is apparent that this is a common problem with the Impala that even has a TSB for the problem. This is a extremely dangerous issue that should be recalled. I have attached a picture of the broken harness along with the $272. 94 bill for having the dealer repair it.
Service abs/stabilitrack is displaying often. Grinding noise, decreased power and car will nearly stop on you from time to time, particularly when turning. Taken to dealership, more than once, they get no codes on diagnostic. I believe this is a wiring issue. However, this defect is found in many years of the same make of vehicle. At times when turning, the stopping of the vehicle could harm or kill me or my family. There is bound to be lawsuits if this is not recalled. A search online produces hundreds with the same issue.
Stabilitrack and traction control will randomly fail while backing and driving. Especially with right hand steering input. Many times while driving and turing right, stanilitrack and traction control will alert failure and the input from the accelerator will cease causing slow tiring leading to near miss traffic collisions. Chevy can not find problem and numerous online reports of the same issue. On going issue.
2013 chevy Impala has stability control and traction control come on along with engine light. The car has 20,152 miles on it and this just started when it got cold but happens regularly now. I started warming up the car and thought that fixed the problem but it happened on a left turn after two hours of driving without incident until the left turn.
At roughly 26,000 miles my abs, stabilitrac, and traction control lights came on. I took my car to dealership to repair ignition recall, they replaced the abs wire harness and corrected the the problem. At roughly 56,000 and 86,000 the abs, stabilitrac, and traction control lights came back on. I am carrying my car back into the dealership again tomorrow for the 3rd time for the same issue. My car is now decelerating on its own and the wheels are abruptly locking. The car is moving during all of these incidents. My car has begun flashing abs, stabilitrac, and traction control lights and abruptly decelerating on its own at 60/75 miles per hour.
My 2013 Chevrolet Impala had 28, 000 miles when it began making low tone grinding noises when turning left from a stop or at lower speeds. This has happened in reverse gear a few times as well. The low pitch grinding sound has occurred while making a slow right hand turns a few times. The grinding noise occurs on both dry and wet pavement. Frequently a reduction in forward power occurs. Intermittent warning lights and messages occur intermittently: stability tack needs serviced, service traction control, and red abs light comes on. When driving in bumpy areas the red abs light comes on. When taking off on an up hill grade traction control rumbles and then I have a reduction in power as I try to accelerate making my forward motion slower than anticipated and placing me in danger. Mechanic used an analyzer and said it was my left wheel sensor. He replaced the hub. My problem began again less than 15 minutes after driving out of the repair shop. None of this occurs when I manually turn off the stability control when I first start the car. (the button on the left hand side of the dashboard that has a drawing of the car and squiggly lines) very dangerous, annoying and costly situation. Recall necessary!!!!!.
2013 Chevrolet Impala. Consumer writes in regards to front end noise while traveling at a low speed. The consumer stated that the wheel bearing was replaced, but the failure continued.
Electronic stability control/ brake assist and abs light comes on at random times. Took to dealer and say nothing wrong with it had wheel bearing replaced and problem is back. Happens while in reverse.
Ever since I bought my car in 2014 the traction control has fired intermittently when making left turns. It stopped for a while, so I didn't pay attention to it. Now recently it has started again and much worse. It now does it when I turn in either direction, going forward or reversing and the traction light will flash on driving straight as well.
The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. While making a turn, the brakes independently applied and an abnormal grinding noise could be heard. The failure was intermittent. The abs and service stabilitrak warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the brakes, rotors, bearing, and tires were replaced. The contact notified the local Chrysler dealer where an appointment was scheduled for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000. The VIN was not provided.
At 47,000miles the abs warning light came on. I went ahead and replaced the hub wheel. The light went off for about a week. The stabilitytrack warning came on. It goes off. But then when I make a left turn the light comes back on again. I have spent countless hours researching trying to find a solution to no avail. They should issue a recall for this chevy model.
My car makes a grinding sound when I turn left and loses power, also today the service brake assist and the traction lights all came on when I was driving. I have read many things from many people about this certain problem and it is costly to get this fixed and I feel something should be done about this. This could be very dangerous trying to turn into traffic and having your car lose power.
