I am leasing the car out. I’ve been leasing it out for the last three months since March I went delinquent on one of my payments because I have my mechanic look at it and type my VIN number in and they told me that I was recall he couldn’t tell me why I was recall two days ago, which was Saturday, June 28. The lender called me and told me that the car was recalled. I tried to call him back to discuss what can be done. I have the payment, no response and I don’t have my car and my belongings are in it.
The front driver side seat belt will not latch. Have to press in the orange button and inserted it and release for it to click.
Passenger front seat presence sensor says someone is sitting in the seat even when empty. Also seat belt warning light and audible alert is affected. I occasionally have four small children in the vehicle which is concerning because the airbag could go off when a child is sitting in the front seat.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated her child was unable to unlatch the rear driver side seat belt. The contact called local dealer big m Chevrolet located at 704 n dixie blvd, radcliff, ky 40160, (270) 505-4830 and was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000. Dp.
The passenger, rear seatbelt locked and will not release. Dealership stated the seatbelt failed but did not know why, but it needed to be replaced. We were placing grandson into safety seat and went to pull the seatbelt (over shoulder) and it would not release. Driver side rear works properly as well as the lap belt in center. The car has approx. 70600 miles. The rear seats are rarely used. Cost of repair, (without dismantling it) is $385. This failure caused no injuries, however if it fails locking up is it possible to fail completely and not serve it's safety component requirement.
After getting gas I sat in the driver seat, I attempted to put the seatbelt but noticed the lap belt using missing. The shoulder belt still worked. I looked at the end bracket which appears to be broken. A jagged bolt appears to have broken. The pillar retractor, tongue and buckle appear intact. I do have pictures but have to figure out how to transfer from cellphone to computer.
