Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that while driving about 65 mph, the vehicle shut down without warning. The vehicle was taken to the barton Chevrolet (845-219-1521, located at 800 auto park pl, newburgh, NY 12550) where it was diagnosed the a plastic bad was sucked into the air filter and blocked air from going into the engine. The technician removed the plastic bag and replaced the air filter, without removing the rest of the debris that were sucked in earlier. The contact later cleaned them up. The technician could not guaranty that the failure would not recur, stating that the vehicle performed as designed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and di not return call.
