Takata recall: shuts off on it's own while driving with loss of control. Loss of steering. Loss of brakes, car shakes. Headlights dim when signaling for turns. Car began shaking with loss of control, battery, ab, and other sensor lights remain on. Odometer became exempt 2016, but seller, cache valley auto sales, lewiston, ut has odometer at 142,221 miles. The seller refuses to fix, or exchange for this vehicle for another vehicle.

Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated while making a left turn there was an abnormal grinding sound could be heard and the vehicle hesitated. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. The vehicle was returned to the independent mechanic and the hub was replaced again however the failure recurred again. When coming to a stop my abs service stability traction control service brake lights all come on then my 2011 hesitation to stop when braking. Even if I go slow or just stopping at a stop sign. It pushes my foot from the brake. A cranking noise sound. I have gotten brake, tire rods, roaders and new tires. I don't know what else to do. This happens specifically when on the highway when having to come to a sudden stop. I almost crashed several times not being able to stop. Mind you my car only has 65000 miles on it. This is just too soon.

Service airbag light comes on intermittently and then goes off. I took it took the dealership and they couldn't replicate it. This has has more than one time. I'm concerned that this can cause an issue during a front end collision. Multiple Chevrolet Impala owners have the same issue and gm won't stand behind this. Same for the power door locks, driver door doesn't always open. Same issue and since they can't replicate it, they say keep an eye on it. Concerned if the door won't unlock sometimes. Air pressure monitoring system & stability trak monitors also seem to have issues. The sensors on the car constantly go off and my vehicle has less than 65,000 miles on a 9 year old car. Concerned when driving it if it's just a sensor issue or a real problem that can cause a safety concerned when driving and Chevrolet doesn't want to do anything concerning the issue. I've already paid 645. 00 for the actuator, 345. 00 for the tire monitoring system and I keep getting told keep an eye on the service airbag issue cause they can't replicate it.

Since I purchased this vehicle as a used auto on Jan 24, 2012, I have had 10 incidents of tire problems, as low air, flat tire, etc caused by wheel rims corroding causing beads on rim and not hold air pressure; have replaced 30 lug nuts; and ground rims approx 12 times. Am told that the rapid deterioration of the rims to corrosion is due to road salt mix used on local and interstate roads. Appears the vehicle was not designed for this area; fear is when a tire goes, it could be at a high rate of speed. Also have discovered the aluminum bodies of the cars are rusting much quicker. Most recent incident was today.

�service stabilitrak� �service traction� �service brake system� warnings alerting only when turning vehicle to the left. Only luminates during turn, then turns off. Alerts show on all types of roads and at all speeds. No codes pulled from computer.

70,000 miles, stabiltrak warning on startup and engine power loss. Error message was about a sensor, replaced the hub and the wiring harness to fix. So far no more problems but I've seen this issue countless times and I'm surprised there wasn't a recall yet.

My Chevrolet Impala was in motion when my abs and trac sensor keeps coming on. Now it's happening everytime I drive. It almost locks on me when I'm driving and it scares me for my safety of my kids and myself in the vehicle. I looked up to to see what the problem could be and there has been a lot of complains for that 2012 model. My lights will flash on and off (trac sensor and abs) and it makes a weird noise.

While in motion, car was involved in crash, hit a concrete barrier and a fence and airbag did not deploy, driver sustained a concussion. He was wearing a seat belt.

Used car purchased with approx. 72,000 miles. Major problems became apparent at 73,000 miles approx. Grinding clunking squealing noises were 1st warning signs. All of these noises occur anytime the vehicle is being driven, intermittently, but everytime I turn left or right. The ac/heater went out because the blower motor failed. Handling was horrible so replaced most of suspension parts but alignment repeatedly goes out and mechanics are idiots so they just say they are stumped and send me away. That prompted me to research on my own. I looked up the symptoms and have concluded that the hub bearings need to be replaced. Which I cannot afford seeing as how I just spent a few grand on other repairs. Then I found out that the transmission is failing which makes it jerk when accelerating, drive very sluggish, and makes loud noises at idle and in motion. There is more problems that would take too long to list. I continue to research all of this vehicles complaints and problems and it seems like it is time for a real recall! gm should be held accountable for making such a nightmare of a car. I just purchased the car from a dealership for $10,000 one year ago and still owe $8,600. Just had the car appraised at $3,000, so I am upside down $5,500. I cannot trade it in, cannot afford perpectually repairing and would not because it seems like there is no end. It is parked now because I cannot drive it anymore, so I cannot get to work and may have to have it repossesed. This is not right!.

My sterring wheel on my 2009 chevy Impala has recently started getting stuck once the engine hs been cut off and parked. Sometimes I don't have any problems turning the key and it cranks right on up while majority of the time I have to rock my steering wheel back and forth while turning the key. My tire and pressure light stays on even after I have brought new tires and a oil change. My actuator makes a clicking noise when I crank up my car and last about a minute or two then stops.

The front wheels of my vehicle started drifting left and right. Started hearing a clanging noise when l would turn. Lower control arms broke, my power steering is going because of it. My car started having the traction control come on about 2-3 years ago. I was told I needed a new transmission. The transmission was cracked-Chevrolet said not their fault, so, I replaced the transmission. Then, it started doing it again. I replaced the brake pads. It stopped. Then, started up again. Took to the Chevrolet garage who put it on their total diagnostic machine. Told I need both bearings on the front. At a $972. 00 price tag for this, I bought the bearings and had another garage put them on at a great reduction in cost to me on labor. Now, it is doing it again. At first it was only every once in awhile. The wheel sensors appear to be fine. Now I notice it is doing it a lot more and starting to do it when I accelerate from a stop at certain times. I bought this car brand new, and, for its age, it does not even have 60,000 miles on it. (the date that that I am using in the next step here it began is the date when it really started doing its 'tricks' a lot more).

I bought brand new handkook tires 3 yrs ago,n already all 4 tires have dryrot I have only 9000 miles on them n suppose 2 be good 4 100,000 miles do I contact them or the store I got them from n they fit my 95 chevy luminia LS n I bought a chevy 2000 Impala LS n rims from luminia fit the Impala LS so we switched them n now after 3 yrs 2 on this car r dry rotted n abs system is new n lite wont go out is it a sensor or something else n trany when motor gets 2 140,the trany shifts hard is that a sensor also t. Turned on my car started pushing on the gas my car made a weird vibration type sound. Came up on message board traction control after a couple times of it doing that, the abs and tax light come on and on the message window it says system traction service. It kinda freaked me out cause I was stopped at a red light went to go hit the gas and it said traction control and I moved a little than I had to let go of gas then try again. Also have had a couple incidents where I go to break and it makes a vibration feeling on the brake and brings up traction control again. Really would like this checked out very concerned. Don't want to get in an accident cause my car fails to take off.

In addition, the contact heard an abnormal grinding noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the speed sensor wire failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. An independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and removed the front driver side tire to show that the speed sensor wire was actually spliced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 99,563.

Auto braking system constantly goes on / off told it's hub sensor. Replace hub same problem internet has many people with same problem, and spent more than me troubleshooting the problem and still can't resolve this problem. How can you tell if brakes are failing if this system continues to alarm for no known reason.

When my car is in motion in the street, turning, braking and driving slow my traction control comes on and says reduce engine speed and the light for my engine comes on. I don't know what is causing this problem and I dont have any invoices, any police reports nor any insurance claims.

I continue to have problems with my front left hub after replacing. I have replaced the wiring harness as well. Wondered if there are service bulletins with this same issue. While driving the car it makes a horrible grinding noise described to me as the hub adjusting the speed of one tire to match the other. It also flashes brake assist and stabilitrack issues as well as anti lock alert. This happens mostly turning left but most recently even while driving straight down the road.

I am the owner of a 2009 Chevrolet Impala and for months my car keeps locking when I turn to the left or right. On 01/03/2017, on a busy snow packed intersection, when the light turned green, I was pushed off the road by a large pickup truck, into a curb, which curb is taller than my Impala's frame to ground clearance. My left front tire and rim were ruined. The driver of the pickup continued north leaving the scene of the accident. Prior to gm's bankruptcy, my Impala ss, which was made in canada, is a rusty, poorly painted, hastily thrown together piece of junk. It needs many used parts with which to make needed repairs. Reasonably priced, quality used parts are impossible to locate.

Rented an alamo rental car at the dfw airpor on 12/23/16. . Left rear wheel came off vehicle while driving straight at highway speed on texas hwy 36 causing the car to loose control and spin off the road.

After reversing, then when accelerating out to make a left turn, my car makes a grinding noise, I can feel it in my accelerator and I lose power, my traction control light goes on, sometimes my brake assist, abs, and stabiltrak lights come on too. . . If I back off and try again I can then accelerate out and proceed as normal, happens intermittently, hard to duplicate, makes me feel unsafe if I need to accelerate out of a turn then I will not have the ability to do so. I want to take it in to see if it needs a repair, but by reading forums, many many people have had this same problem with the chevy Impala and have paid hundreds of dollars to get different things fixed, and it doesn't solve the issue. Started 3 weeks ago, and has happened many time in that 3 weeks. My car has about 85,000 miles on it. I use to love my Impala, now just want to get rid of it.

Asap I am needing to drive accross the country of round trip miles of 4,000. Very scared to drive my car , affraid that it is the bearing and will lock up on me on the freeway. My car has been making a grinding noise when backing up or turning left. It does it once in a while. When accelerated it doesn't go anywhere then it takes off. Almost caused my daughter to have a wreck today and I'm not pleased. Took it to a few places to have it checked and it wouldn't do it. After today, I am not to happy with my 2013 Chevrolet Impala ltz. Something needs to be done about this continuing problem with these cars. Is it gonna take someone to die before Chevrolet does something about it. My daughter was turning into a busy intersection when this happened.

At 29k the right rear wheel bearing became defective and needed replacement. This should not happen at such low mileage. Yes this vehicle is exposed to nys winters but the car is garaged and well maintained. The rear of the knuckle is wide open to the elements exposing the hub bearing to the elements and this is an easy fix simply by creating a cap on the back side of the knuckle eliminating debris exposure. It is my opinion that the part was simply defective based on several newer similar gm vehicles having the same problems.

My car has warn out two sets of tires on the rear . The still is showing . I have always known the front tires to ware out twice as fast as the rear. However, it is not happening with this Impala. For some reason the steel in the tires are always showing close to the middle of the tire. I don't drive much so this is a big problem for me. When it happened the first time with the tires that came on the car, I bought a new set and had the car aligned. It has done it again so I believe there is a defect in the car.

When starting from a standstill, the traction control system seems to kick in and the indicator light comes on. Initial occurrences only seemed to happen when turning left from a standstill, but now it is occurring when turning either direction from a standstill. This is occurring at low speeds on both dry and wet pavement with very little acceleration (I. E. , no tire slippage).
