Six problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet K1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My abs brake system comes on under 10mph during normal braking. There is no panic stop involved during the normal braking event. This situation is becoming very troublesome and I'm worried as to whether I'll be able to pull my travel trailer.

In bumper to bumper traffic vehicle in front stopped suddenly. Truck hit brakes (abs); vehicle kept going & rearended vehicle in front. Took to dealer & mechanic repaired abs brakes. Was not told what caused problem.
Brakes: brakes pulsating when attempting to stop. Driving and attempting to stop and the vehicle kept rolling and would not stop.
When brakes are applied, the brakes become weak, resulting in extended stopping. Distance, brake system is weak, too much pedal effort.
When the brakes were applied, the pedal went to the floor, causing extended stopping distance which resulted in a collision. The dealer has been notified.
