Two problems related to anti-lock brakes fail have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet K1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Anti-lock braking system failure. Has been occurring continuously for over three years at very low speeds. Abs activates un-wanted and can cause loss of braking control/distance. 2000 models and newer already have recall on same issue.
Anti-lock brakes failed causing a vehicle collision.
