Three problems related to steering gear box have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet K1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Unspecified internals of gear box failed resulting in intermittent unwanted steering changes (vehicle steers on it's own) dt.
Steering gear box failed.
Steering locks up momentarly then releases during slow left turns.
