Two problems related to other fuel system fuel gauge have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet K1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tail gate straps broke. Fuel gauge is inconsistent and gm has to know about it because there are forums all over the web stating the same things I am. I think these are ridiculous problems that gm is not facing up to.
The fuel sending unit on my truck is defected. The fuel gauge is sporadic. It jumps from full to empty whether it is full, or half-full, or near empty. I've talked with several Chevrolet/GMC truck owners who have the same problem. . Read more...
