Engine problem #1

Lifters knock at startup all the time. Dealer has replaced lifters, used heavy grade oil and cleaners, higher grade gasoline used for six months, nothing has stopped the knocking. Service manager has stated that general motors has a problem with the 3. 5l engines and this dealership has worked on the same problem with many other customers whom purchased the 1999/2000 series trucks with this engine, including replacing the engine, but, he would not put into writing what he was telling me. I have been waiting for a meeting with the gm rep. For about 3 weeks and still do not have an appointment.

Engine Exhaust System problem #2

While traveling at 35mph exhaust would make shrilling/grinding noise which was coming from under the truck. Would also be vibrating. This caused noise to become louder. Took vehicle to dealership & informed problem could not be solved, but could hear the noise.
