Power Window problems of the 2002 Chevrolet K1500

Faulty and inferior design on power windows mechanism. Cable broke on drivers window in oct. 2004, cable broke on passenger side may 6,2004. Both times the window remained in the open position. Cost of $600. 00 to repair. Gm would not cover cost because of mileage.

I had a problem with my left side drivers door window. I lowered it at a mcdonald's drive thru window, and it made a grinding sound and would not hardly roll up. I took my hand and helped it up into place. I paid for the repair at a local repair shop out of my own pocket. The cable on the window regulator was bad. I had to get a new one from c&o motors ( Chevrolet dealer) and cross lanes tire and auto repair shop made the repairs for me.
