One problem related to mechanical jack has been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet K1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When changing a flat tire on a pick up truck the o e m bottle jack collapsed nearly injuring an employee. The base of jack came apart at the four crimped places which re used in place of welds, rivets or bolts. These jacks need to be recalled before someone is killed or seriously injured! we replaced the jack with a hydraulic jack. We still have the failed jack and will take digital pictures of it.
