Two problems related to brake antilock wheel speed sensor have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet K2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Purchased a used 200 Chevrolet silverado K2500 4wd. The anti lock brakes activate at 7mph while stopping. It occurs at every stop. The dealer replaced the speed sensors per the recall which did not solve the problem. The dealer tested the vehicle after the fix and found it still failing. Now gm won't do anything more and my truck still has faulty anti lock brakes.
The contact stated t when applying brake pressure at low speeds the abs activated followed by a squeaking noise. He took the vehicle to a dealer, who cleaned the wheel speed sensors. There was a recall on the anti lock brakes, but the contact did not live in a salt belt state. However, the vehicle experienced the same problem as indicated in the recall. No further repairs or corrections have been made. 11/29/2005 -.
