Three problems related to frame and members have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact stated while driving the frame came out around the bolts. This caused the engine to fall onto the ground and the steering to pull out of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, but they have not inspected the vehicle. The manufacturer was suppose to send out a representative to inspect the vehicle. Updated 2/7/2006 -.
Vehicle structure has had holes which allowed for odor to enter vehicle.
Welds between the engine/transaxle frame and the body firewall mounts all pulled loose on right and left sides. Yh.
